@imdoubtful Religion is a very different thing to a disputed event, only one of them usually contains physical evidence. So I don't think it's fair comparing scientifically and logically minded people to members of a religion who base their beliefs almost entirely on faith.

The astronauts in general coped well, but two of them died from cancer: Jack Swigert from bone cancer, and Alan Shepard (a very long serving astronaut) from leukemia (blood cancer). These may have been coincidences, but who knows?

I get the feeling that people who believed the moon landings were faked would be much more eager to take part, much more so than someone with common sense who knows that there really is no need to fight for the truth, as the truth has been accepted for decades.

The astronauts in general coped well, but two of them died from cancer: Jack Swigert from bone cancer, and Alan Shepard (a very long serving astronaut) from leukemia (blood cancer). These may have been coincidences, but who knows?

I get the feeling that people who believed the moon landings were faked would be much more eager to take part, much more so than someone with common sense who knows that there really is no need to fight for the truth, as the truth has been accepted for decades.

And have you also considered that they may be being more careful this time, to address said risks? The Apollo astronauts were exposed to radiation on their missions (not life endangering but a long term health risk), and maybe they want to make the mission safer this time.

They did not watch a televised event at mission control, just data and simple information on the screens.
Rocket was out of sight in a few minutes, no-one saw it afterwards, the rockets only form of communication was radio.
No tracking the only tracking that existed was ground radar.
If you think these so called cool, calm and professionals guys response was normal.....

When common sense is put to conspiracy theorists they just explain it with some untestable, unknowable "fact" such as all other countries are in on the hoax. In the real world this just isn't so, but the right to have different opinions is one of the things that makes america so great.

@kevinturvy I used to be a believer in the "hoax Senario". I never automatically assumed I am correct. It took me to research both sides of the issue, and the facts are what changed my opinion. Let's leave this conversation at this. No harm meant. We both have the right to our interpretations of what we hear and see. Let's face it niether one of us has been to the moon to prove, or disprove anything.

@erk13z u are over-simplifying things. countries are not in it together... only a few people at the top. the rest of that country's citizens follow the money and the hierarchical power-structure.
the few who get close enough to know and see what actually is going on, are too scared for their own and their families lives to utter a word.
its true that we are terrible secret keepers... but above that, we scare very easy. and when fear takes control of your life, it dominates everything else.

Lots of people around the world get incarcerated, beaten, and killed acting against thier gov. everyday. The thousands of people who worked on the space project, the astronauts who were actually on the moon, the video, etc, ALL that is fake. OK. No sense arguing with you. "The Discovery of The New World/America" is a huge lie! Not only do I believe it never happened, but I have proof to back my theories. Some examples are: Colombus. In 1492, they lacked the technology to sail for 3,000 + miles, non-stop. Meaning? He lied/made it up. Also, back then the world was flat. He would have fell off the earth.
