Important NT Books were NOT written in Greek in thie original form, and translating the Greek to the Aramiac then to the English makes for best translations!

The Septuagint is the translation of the Old Testament from Hebrew to Greek about 300-500 before the birth of our Blessed Lord. This section is called the, "apocrypha." Many NMT writers, pre-Christian Jews, and early Christians accepted this version over the traditional Hebrew version because Greek was the common language of the people at the time. The catholic Bible wasn't canonised until the council of trent. Those 7 books were very accepted in the early church as inspired Scripture, the 27 books we have of the NT where canonised by the Apostles in the 1st century and was common knowledge what was and what was not Scripture.
The Jews in Jerusalem did not consider those 7 books to be inspired and it is easy to see why when you read them. They were never part of the OT. Divine prophecy ended around 500 years before the arrival of Christ.

You set forth a reasonable case for why no protestant faith need ignore the abandoned books (except perhaps Lutherans I don't know for sure). I always meant to give the "apocrypha" a read. Since the OT is in my view, mostly to provide a historical context for the NT, it's not likely it will change anything. My salvation is in the "small half" of the big book but since I don't fear reading about unrelated religions I might as well give the extra Bible books a peek.

We seem to be becoming a world of people who, with increasing access to relatively quick communication methods, are able to communicate our individual world views. It's hard to say if it's a positive or negative development as of yet. Like most things it seems like it has an upside and a downside. I suppose it all depends on the intentions of the individual.

Catholics had 15 more books originally that THEY labeled "uninspired" but called Martin Luther a heretic for removing them even though they didn't feel they were of God to begin with. Catholics then replaced only 7 of the15. So it seems the Catholic Church used Martin Luther as a Scapegoat for their own contradictions.
So next they will blame Martin Luther for removing the 2nd commandment, moving the 3rd to #2 and splitting 9 making it 9 and 10 so they can justify their worship of Idols.

The Septuagint is the translation of the Old Testament from Hebrew to Greek about 300-500 before the birth of our Blessed Lord. This section is called the, "apocrypha." Many NMT writers, pre-Christian Jews, and early Christians accepted this version over the traditional Hebrew version because Greek was the common language of the people at the time. The catholic Bible wasn't canonised until the council of trent. Those 7 books were very accepted in the early church as inspired Scripture, the 27 books we have of the NT where canonised by the Apostles in the 1st century and was common knowledge what was and what was not Scripture.
The Jews in Jerusalem did not consider those 7 books to be inspired and it is easy to see why when you read them. They were never part of the OT. Divine prophecy ended around 500 years before the arrival of Christ.

You set forth a reasonable case for why no protestant faith need ignore the abandoned books (except perhaps Lutherans I don't know for sure). I always meant to give the "apocrypha" a read. Since the OT is in my view, mostly to provide a historical context for the NT, it's not likely it will change anything. My salvation is in the "small half" of the big book but since I don't fear reading about unrelated religions I might as well give the extra Bible books a peek.

We seem to be becoming a world of people who, with increasing access to relatively quick communication methods, are able to communicate our individual world views. It's hard to say if it's a positive or negative development as of yet. Like most things it seems like it has an upside and a downside. I suppose it all depends on the intentions of the individual.

The Church made the change: the pope couldn't have done so in those days. Also, all the historical evidence says the change happened during the Apostles' lifetimes. There is *no evidence* to support your claim that the pope made the change, nor that the change happened *after* the Apostles died.

@badpanda84 You can't judge the Church by some of it's leaders. Yes you are right I am not denying the corruption during those times but before that the Catholic Church wasn't corrupt. We can even look at King David he is a man of God. He was bless and give alot of priveledge by God then what happend? King David abuse his power. That this means also that his followers are not in a true faith?
If we base it on your analogy then NO Church has true faith.

@badpanda84 We all fall short in the Kingdom of God. I'm Catholic but Iam not most Catholics that would ingnore and even deny what had happend in the past. Most Catholics get offended when you say something about the Church dark past. We are humans and can easily be tempeted with money, power and lust. Even the Protestant Church are not immune. We can even look at the JEWS. They have fallen many times and disobeyed God many times. If we accept our mistakes and ask for forgiveness only then.

Out of all the account of Jesus ( clearly there were more than 4 people who wrote about Jesus) how did we get the gosepls of Matthew , Mark , Luke and John..

I am not going to take a book as fact unless it's sources are verified, and even then I still don't always take them as fact either. People tend to lean their evidence to prove their theories. Catholics had 15 more books originally that THEY labeled "uninspired" but called Martin Luther a heretic for removing them even though they didn't feel they were of God to begin with. Catholics then replaced only 7 of the15. So it seems the Catholic Church used Martin Luther as a Scapegoat for their own contradictions.
So next they will blame Martin Luther for removing the 2nd commandment, moving the 3rd to #2 and splitting 9 making it 9 and 10 so they can justify their worship of Idols.

To a Jew at the time, what is the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms? Since Jesus ONLY used those books to reveal himself, those are the only books that matter for the Old Testament. We need to deduce what the Law, the Prophets, the Psalms that Jesus was discussing.
