  • This movie gave me nightmares for weeks. Its like someone took one of my worst nightmares and made it real. It scared the shit out of me!

  • imma review your review you sound like you have a huge cock in your mouth

  • *Spoiler* The major thing I hate about this movie is that the fucking sidekick character betrays them. The scene that proves that is when they finally find a ride WHICH IS WHAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR, the sidekick lays out a bed of spikes to put out the tires. The main character and everyone else kept telling him not to, but he didn't listen. I was happy when that mother fucker died.

  • You are one boring ass motherfucker.

  • wow ur a boring ass and u expect to much from a movie. Just watch the dam thing of coarse its not gonna be believable if its a movie.

  • spoiler free reviews = tell the whole plot of the movie before you actually review it. You are one annoying bastard.

  • @sunslap and you are going to so something about it?

  • @VaughnFry I will give you constructive criticism, thats all I can do. Since you are actually a video poster who is active with his users maybe we can actually talk rather than go to immature youtube rabble. If you really want to hear my input you can comment back.

  • Just finished watching this movie 10 minutes ago. I like to see what other people say about movies after I saw them, I really liked Timothy Olyphant, he is believable and understated enough to "play real". I also could see how gov't intervention would build up to the "final solution" near the end. The car wash scene was a joke and I found it hard to believe those two drank ZERO of the towns water themselves.

Better than I expected and action packed.

  • (Spoilers) At the end the 2 people (Sheriff and Doctor) walk to Cedar Rapids,

So there will probably a part2 when Cedar Rapids becomes infected

  • You are so full of crap. the satelite video was a vital storypoint

IT was not as predictable a you say. Carwash scene I didn't a certain character to die. and the event with the helicopter that quickly followed was almost hilarious considering what the protagonists were trying to do. Also what transpires at the Sheriff's house when they return was not obvious either. So get off your "Know it all " high horse and stop talking like you think you are all that.

And yes the gov't can be a bad guy

  • @Mr508films How about you watch the freaking original film before claiming this remake is not at all predictable?

  • The town they go in to next is infected

  • @jamin397 that is not established at all. the satellite shot at the end, that Vaughnfry thinks is stupid, suggets that it might start all over again to a bigger city.

  • Are you retarded? After they highjack the cops truck he says there is a 48 hour time period where you find out if you are immune to the disease or not. This way it doesn't matter if blood is transferred from an infected person to a normal person! Actually watch the movie next time and easy on the spoilers.

  • Ok I'm considering buying this on iTunes. Is it worth the full price? Plz help

  • shutup i saw it 4 times it needs 5 STARS

  • i wish i had the job of watching these movies before their released.

so icould be like, thats not believable and thats not believableand you should make it happen like this.

i guess that would be called a director?

i think i could make a more believable story.i guess it doesnt matter that much to the general public because they believe just abouyt anything.but when you understand whats possible and whats not,it makes for a boring story.

  • @EASTWOODO4 that role would more likely belong to a producer, writer, of studio executive. When big changes are made after a project has wrapped, the end result is typically a disaster.

  • Thanks for spoiling so much shit!

  • @9cloudersprofile yeah because no one figured there would be zombies in this movie.

  • @VaughnFry LOOK AT ALL YOUR COMMENTS!YOU SPOILED SO MUCH SHIT!ZOMBIES OR NOT!HOW IT HAPPENED,WHAT HAPPENED,WHAT COMES,WDF!WARN BEFORE U SAY THAT FUCK!

  • @9cloudersprofile caps lock much?

  • @9cloudersprofile Yes, Vaughn, how dare you spoil the ending to a film originally created more than twenty-years old, thus depriving your viewers the suspenseful conclusion they couldn't have figured out by merely watching the trailer?

    Shame on you.

  • @9cloudersprofile he spoiled nothing

  • I feel this movie rushed the zombie apocalypse to fast It seemed 15 minutes into the movie and already the whole town was taken over by the disease

  • @NuggetBlubber definitely. It mostly adheres to the sheriff's point of view, and he seems to be the last person in town to figure it out. By the time he's attacked, it seems that everyone else is either gone or killed.

  • I thought it was pretty rubbish. As you said, very predictable and a simple story. I wouldn't reccomend it.

  • sweet review!!!

  • Where can I watch this without viruses?

  • @Nickthepunk22 The movie theater or buy the DVD,get a life fucker, support the person.

  • @9cloudersprofile Dude shut the fuck up. I asked that 2 months ago when it wasn't in the movie theatres anymore and it wasn't on DVD yet...Stupid fuck

  • the main thing i didnt like was it was mostly surviving them army people or what ever.

  • see what pissed me off was the army had everything under control then some jackass in a truck ran over the fence and screwed it all up

  • Actually no on the who is going to die. From the trailers I actually thought Timothy Olphant was going to die.

  • 1:17 I just noticed that part wasnt in the movie.

  • i thought this movie was so predictable, DEFINITELY not terrifying.. not even close to scary, BARELY even creepy. it was a mockery of a good, let alone an AVERAGE zombie movie. the camera views were a joke, the acting was good. the overall plot of the movie is great, its just directed fucking horribly. the scenes make absolutely no sense and it seems like the makers of the movie INTENDED to make the characters AVOID COMMON SENSE. overall, i give it 3.5/10 stars.. watchable, but not replayable..

  • dude 3.5/10 is not a watchable movie lol.

  • haha true true, what i mean is like one-time-watchable, like you can watch the entire movie the initial time, but never again. i guess i should make a revision. perhaps the crazies deserves 5/10 stars.that would make it watchable.

  • yea i understand what you meant lol.Yea it was just an ok movie.

  • I saw the midnight premier it was a 8.5/10 which is good for a horror movie for me

  • Thanks for telling me the ending you faggot! If you happen to read the comments before the end of the review.. PAUSE IT NOW!

  • there was some downers about this film but its one of my fav movies of 2010 so far

    5/5 I really like it :)

  • i liked the crazies i gave it 3.5 outta 5. ur the only movie review ive seen use outta 4 lol

  • some very inventive death scenes. I loved the bit with the knife. The pitchfork scene was pretty awesome too!

  • hes exactly correct, it wasnt great, but it was pretty good,

i just watched it yesterday, so yeahh(:

it was VERYY suspenseful and similar to movies such as, Quarentine, the hills have eyes 1,2, and 3, based on getting a virus/disease/contamination/rabies due to a goverment mistake,

  • wuz it scary...?

  • well, there was suspense and alot of blood, but i was never truly scared, hahaa

  • Classic. I wish they didn't do that so often; I didn't pee XD

  • Rifle? THAT was a shotgun.

  • This is a 28 days Later/ Doomsday boring rip off movie it wasn't that good

  • Ripoff?

    Romero did it first, faggot

  • this one isn't anything like his you troll

  • I live in Cedar Rapids, The city they were goign to. The news channel that the fake report was on is KCRG?!?! The new reporter is real!??! Hes well know in CR?!?!?!? MY HOME STATE OF IOWA RULES?!?!?!?!??!

  • does danielle panabaker die

  • yes

  • Kansas kinda sucks but its great if you're a KU fan like me! Rock Chalk!

  • I graduated from KU in '08. Three national championship if you ask me, basketball, football, and debate. I'm including football because we all know the crybabies at USC got one for not playing in the title game. KU finished with a better record than "the champs" and won their BCS game.

  • @VaughnFry I wanted to ask you, is watching movies your hobby. Because you do all these great reviews so I thought you like going to the movies.

  • @meliketalaugh I enjoy the physical act of going to the movies. I'm fine with watching just about any film and I always hope it turns out well. I try to know as little beforehand about a movie as possible so that I'm open to surprises. Often times I can't avoid trailers and TV spots, so I do usually develop expectations which are alway susceptible to being met, failed, or exceeded.

  • the movies time period was when bush was president!

  • It may be nitpicking, but I feel it more "big evil government" than "big evil army".

On a side note; why were the sattilite scenes "not believeable"? I myself would not put it past the government to make that kind of tech(and use it, of course).

I LOVE this movie, and I don't know if it was because I wasn't examining it close enough, or if I just didn't care to note possibilities of death, but I couldn't tell EXACTLY who, and EXACTLY when, they were gonna die.....I just enjoyed the movie.

  • not bad actually online at lastestrelease movies^dot^com

  • this movie is very unpredictable, u cant say whoos gonna die, cuz they surprise u at every turn. its more like a 3 stars , if not 3 and a half.

  • Your getting soft man

  • i like the 'lady' Cassandra's voice at the beginning. But the vault opening noise almost seems a bit over the top.

  • mann, i definatly disagree, the movie was tottally awsome and entertaining

  • from what my friends have been saying its not worth the time. just another typical zombie flick.

  • i cant agree with you on that sorry, i thought it was really good kept me entertained and scared my girlfriend lol and i think alot of people would have enjoyed it.

  • 2 1/2 stars only... Wow! Your review had me thinking you were going to give it at least a 3, even 3 1/2 stars due to a significant lack of "But/On the other hand..." moments. As for the intro. I like Cassandra's voice, but not sure yet if it fits the general tone of your review channel/website. Jury is out for now, but nice to see your craft is evolving :)

  • There are aspects that prevent it from 3 star territory. When the screenplay has characters being repeatedly saved at the last second by a well timed gunshot, that's a major problem. It shows a lack of creative problem solving. Also, if you see the satellite shots, you'll know where I'm coming from with that remark.

  • Yeah that satellite shot remark of yours has got me all curious!

  • Great Review! Nice new intro by the way

  • intro voice was good, keep it for now :)

  • is the sherrif the guy who played gabriel in live free or die hard?

  • Indeed it is. He plays a lawman on a new FX series too: Justified.

  • i thought it was amazing

  • Plot was a big boring to me. I wouldn't consider it scary because they prepared you for each jump scare. No one in the theater jumped. And the same old last minute bullet to the back trick before you get killed. Very 1990's. I haven't seen a good scary movie in a LONG TIME. Very predictable.

  • This movie was better than 2 1/2 stars out of 4. It was atleast a solid 9 out of 10. One of my favorite movies of all time. Some parts were predictable but than again some parts were not. It was a great movie and actually topped 28 days later which is really hard to do.

  • agreed.

  • that poison in the water supply..... It's called flouride

  • I'm actually starting to think Indymogul are douchebags too.

  • he lied

    fag

  • new intro intro is creepy lol

  • sorry im not a big fan of the new intro. But nice review as always, and i want to see this movie.

  • THis movie was suprisingly good. One of the better remakes of the genre in recent memory besides Dawn of the Dead, Hills Have Eyes, Last House on The Left, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Toolbox Murders, 2001 Maniacs, Wizard of Gore, King Kong, My Bloody Valentine 3D, and Willard.

Almost up there with The Thing or The Fly from yesteryear.

  • Nice review

  • I got to hand it to you Vaughn, you're getting a hell of a lot better at these video reviews.

Anyways I enjoyed the hell out of this film. Yes it followed all of the genre clichés but it worked for me none the less. It's a must see for any horror fan.

  • That's pretty similar to how I felt. It's like going to McDonald's when you want a Quarter Ponder. You'll get what you want, but it's not filet mignon.

  • dude, you gave away the whole movie down to the end

  • What I said is obvious from the trailers. It's not like I described how the sheriff's son kills his father with a sawed-off shotgun right before the credits roll.

  • this is why you are a fucking dick

  • Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?

  • Oh, wow, lol, thanks a lot.

  • I haven't watched latest movies quite a long time. I watched Kung-fu hustle a lot on Spike TV in between UFC events. I enjoyed the movie every time I watched the fragments and finally it completed the full movie lately. What's your review about Kung-fu hustle ?

  • new intro sounds very lame and gay

  • looks pretty good

  • Movie kinda looks cool

  • He's not the town drunk anymore. He was sober 2 years......

  • good review

  • Like the new intro lol
