because we don't have true capitalism. what we have is pseudo-capitalism. the market is rigged to benefit the rich and powerful corporations who have connection with the politicians. politicians change laws to benefit lobbyists and businessman.

for example, the FED. they keep manipulating the interest rate. they cause inflation. Bush's administration was under Haliburton payroll. Obama's administration is under influence of banksters like AIG, Goldman Sach, BofA, etc. they donate to his campaign
