It's difficult to ascertain where water is stored to vaporize into steam sufficient to cause locomotion. There is some exhaust trailing the lead unit which may indicate water storage beneath the floor boards. But what;s heating the water and where is it located? If my words make me sound ignorant, I probably am because I know so little about engineering.
Thank for the comment, I believe there is a water tank at the rear of the loco, the boiler is an upright design, like those found on steam boats, power is transfered to the wheels with, i'm guessing two upright cylinders.
I did not get a great look at the loco myself when I was there, hope that helps! :-)
I would not know, I don't live there, I don't think so, it already goes round the whole yard! there is a ride on it, it is my latest video, take a look!
just like to say 4468446844684468 has nothing to do with Telford Stream Railway, therfore has no idea what goes on there or knows anything about who can and cannot do what.
Thanks Bob, it is a great machine, it runs on a short line around the yard, the station you see the loco pulling into is directly opposite the other station!
