  • that sounds amazing best ive ever heard good job man and what all is done to it?

  • haha it almost sounds like a diesel! It's sick though

  • Newbie, educate yourself. The 4.0 INLINE 6 was used in xj/mjs 87-01, yjs 91-95, tjs 96-06, zjs 93-98, wj 99-04

I invite the skeptics to check it out also. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • @rustyoljeep242 Yep, that's 100% correct. And I must say, the Jeep 4.0l L6 is one of the best motors if you are looking for long running life

  • @rustyoljeep242 in his defense, some Jeeps do have V style motors... theres just two extra cylinders... they're called V8's.... lol i guess his username says it all

  • So does it have a cherrybomb or is it a straightpipe

  • I want to hear a driveby video

  • dude really as a owner of over 6 jeep cherokee's deff not A 4.0 v6 UR DUMB you dont know dick

  • First of all that setup is not road legal in most states and messes with the cars back pressure. Secondly that is not a straight it is a v6 The older jeeps 87-91 used what is called an inline 6 4.0 The newer jeeps are made with a v motor

  • @Newbieman420 jeep 4.0 v6? really? go kill yourself...

  • @Newbieman420 your an idiot, the 4.0 liter inline six was used from '87 well into the 2000 years, dont talk about shit you dont know

  • @zeddre the 4.0 started way before 87 do ur homework

  • @Newbieman420 Are you serious? I HAVE A 2000 JEEP CHEROKEE. It has a 6 cylinder, 4 Liter STRAIGHT SIX. I think I would know, I've seen the engine under my hood. It's not a V. Not even close.

  • @Newbieman420 wow haha. Yeah my 2000 so it must have that v6 but for some reason whenever i work on it all the cylinders are in a row! just like an inline 6 but it cant be because it's a 2000.

  • Thats not true. I have a 1995 jeep grand cherokee and a 2000 jeep cherokee and they are both inline six. Dumb as*.

  • @Newbieman420 There's no such thing as mythical "back pressure". Positive pressure inside the exhaust system doesn't help the engine run any better. However, there is an ideal pipe diameter that's based on the engine's displacement and operating RPMs, that ensures that the gasses "pulse" through the exhaust system. The differences in pressure help to draw the exhaust through the pipe, so that the engine doesn't have to work so hard to push it out.

  • @Newbieman420 Not to beat a dead horse, but I own a 2000 XJ and it has a 4.0 straight 6 engine. NOT a V6. They didn't start with the 3.7 V6 until the Jeep Liberty as a replacement for the Cherokee in 2002.

  • how do you have that running with the set up

  • If You want to hear a LOUD!!! Straight piped jeep cherokee 4.0.

Check Out my Channel and look up my videos on the jeep.

  • how do you deal with the pressure, because i know you have to have a certain pressure in the exhaust system so you won't lose power or torque

  • need to make moree vids!!!

  • jeeps do need sufficiant back preasure so it will actually hurt you with no exhaust

  • Kinda sounds like a Cummins at idle.

  • @E22Chris both are straight 6 so theres your similarity

  • @motorcrossrider11 >

This is about three inches. A good bass sounds when running.

  • GJ!!

  • @takaso0120 > Thanks!

  • @wagovan1988 What did you do about the cat and o2 sensors ?
