  • I choose to Sambo

  • las patadas de taekwondo son letales como te den bien

  • WAS TALKING ABOUT TKD :)

  • don't convince me...better mix this martial art with boxing maybe because these guys don't protect their faces at all :(

  • taekwondo has very sloppy hand movement...

  • i don't know red and blue

Red is Kyokushin Karate or Taekwondo :S

  • taekondo, karate. and kung fu is like rock, paper, and sccisors, but kung fu always wins and TKD and K are tied-ish...

  • @NickolodeonLOVER101 I doubt that Kung fu is more tired-ish

  • I'm a student of both of these styles. they both have a lot to offer a competitive martial artist. Never underestimate any style! Thus the reason , upon reaching my ShoDan in one style, I started studying others. This was the recommendation of my instructor. I wouldn't want it any other way!

  • The TKD you typically see is WTF style in which i believe punching is illegal but in ITF the form i take, punching is very legal and is a nice set up for our devasting kicks but i feel that all martial arts are in equal standing and ppl must remember that martial arts are first off for self defense and a way to be in tune with your spirit and nature... peace fellow martial artists

  • 7:58 .....

  • I'm studying Kyokushin :)

  • I am thirteen years old and train Tae kwon Do. It's a shame that i can't do head kicks before next year D: (Sorry for my bad English).

  • Taekwondo competitors behave like they don't have arms... Woudln't be better to allow punches to the chest area and get rid of the turtle look alike protection ?

  • @jankidudel The stuff that makes it on tv is like that, but in most tournaments punching is legal. In some parts of the world punching to the face is even legal.

    china = dang

Taekwondo and Kyokushin = korea sinra(手擘)쨌각희(脚戱)쨌권법(拳法)쨌권술(拳術)쨌유술(柔術)쨌탁견(托肩)

  • Taekwondo and Kyokushin ? no

It is suitable for you pistol

  • so which one is taekwon do ima blue belt and who one??

  • What is the technique at 0:35 called where you jump from foot to foot doing multiple round kicks? Is there an actual name for it?

  • @ravancody I believe it is just the same kick multiple times, taekwondo style

  • @ravancody name of this kick is dara chagi

  • @ravancody The kick is called midt chagi, but just that the guy does the kicks very fast and a lot of times makes the kicks quite hard to recognize.

  • Comment removed

  • Karate Kyokushin is boring me... TKD is much more espectacular!!!

  • @cg88amo That's lack of information. But who cares..

  • i do many fights against many arts but always taekwondo WTF is best every where because masters of taekwondo share knowledge to every one therefpre every day taekwondo grow up to others ...... in short words taekwondo WTF is best in martial arts

  • @malangrial

    BOLLOCKS

  • LOL

  • ohhhh i thought it was litterly TKD vs. karate

  • Focuses on kicks and Speed* my bad

  • Funny how Tae Kwon Do mainly focuses on kicks and speen, when Kyokushin is based on Power and speed, if you see a kyokushin black belt go up against a tae kwon do black belt, 90% of the technique the tae kwon do guy will use consists of kicks where the kyokushin guy will right off the bat get inside and start pounding the WTF fighter's body or in another situation the kyokushin fighter will just easily sweep the standing leg on the tae kwon do fighter

  • luego de 10 años de práctica de tae kwon do itf me gustaria probar con el judo.-

  • taekwondo is the best

  • @pierolocox It's not the art, it is the artist.

  • @Th3NewDragon Sorry to intrude on your statement. But i agree 100% put any 2 fighters with different styles same skill level and experience and youll see one hell of a fight. Possibly a draw too.

  • @Wariar11 :)

  • kyokushin was started by a korean guy. Taekwondo is original

  • @japantruthify001 What does that mean?

  • @pastropmal Kyokushin Mas Oyama = korean

  • @kkk64021 Taekwondo is original?? And the connection with Kyokushin being started by a JAPANESE guy??

  • Differing rules beween TKD and Karate

In TKD done by getting as many point's as you can within a time limit. KO = win.

In Full contact Karate, continue until full point is won or until time limit is reached. Half for stumble, full for complete fall. Pushing does not equal a point, must be a strike that causes fall or stumble. KO = win.

  • both sport are good!

  • I am blue belt TKD, with a blue belt in Shorin Ryu Karate. In my 1st tourney this weekend I fought a larger TKD fighter, his long-legged power kicks were devastating me, Although I am a great kicker, I had to forget about the legs and get in close and power punched to defeat him, although he won the match, I feel I won the fight. I used Karate power combined with TKD spirit.

  • @CoinDetective

Wow, winning the match vs. winning the fight... Great martial arts spirit, my friend!

  • If you can see tkd wearing tampon protect and in the special Olympics. kyokushin not wearing any now which one with be for affective in the street?

  • @hotpopcorncake have u seen proffesional TKD they dont use pads

  • @leedonovan42 What professional TKD ? is that super sayian tkd or something? hehe jk you mean tkd itf ?

  • @leedonovan42 Professional TKD is western kickboxing they wear gloves..

  • @leedonovan42

I think you mean ITF, right?

  • I was expecting to see a fight ¬¬

  • TKD WIN !!!

  • taekwondo!!!

  • I remember destroying someone from a Full Contact fight, he's a Taekwondo Fighter, and I'm a Shotokan/Muay Thai fighter, I rushed at him and did a flurry of jab straight punches, he couldn't react, he tried to do some jumping turning long kick, but he fell coz I'm too close to him.

  • @Crissaegrim1988 thats because he learned WTF taekwondo.... unfortunately if only it were there real military taekwondo....

  • I believe the kick give a bigger blow then the fist. Tae Kwon do wins

  • @VICTORIA777NESS kyokushin infinitely more powerful kick than tkd lol. The kicks aren't flashy, they're made to break bones. And they usually do.

  • @shaihulud4815 loll retad

  • Taekwondo underestimate the importance of hand technics. Karate win.

  • Karate is all about timing and precision... one good strike and you´re out! Karate all the way

  • TKD is American Football, Kyokushin is Rugby!!!!

  • @loudenvier

Very interesting...could you please explain you analogies?

  • @thepalacemaid TKD is an sport, like American Football, with a lot of protective gear and stoppages. Kyokushin is a battle, like Rugby, without any protective gear and almost non-stop. ;-) Both takes its toll on the practitioner though!

  • @loudenvier WTF TAEKWONDO is american football, ITF TAEKWONDO is much better than that, look for:

TAEKWONDO ITF KO'S (I don't know how to show you here XD)

    WTF IS FOR GIRLS!!!!!

  • @yobolo1 WTF is not for girls

  • @loudenvier PRO TAEKWONDO is really nice to see too

  • @loudenvier i like that comparison

  • Mas Oyama has deep roots in TKD and other Chinese forms of MA way before Kyokushin was formed. Never the less Modern day TKD can not be compared to Kyokushin. TKD as we all know it is a Modern day sport MA and Mas Oyama wanted a simple no flash in your face system for his followers.

  • @MASTERNCS I doubt that. The main styles of his were boxing, wrestling, judo, aikijujutsu, Gojuryu karate, shotokan karate. I have once heard, from an unreliable source that he'd had done some korean style for a while but....some evidence??

  • @pastropmal Of course Mas Oyama studied some Korean style, though I don't recall which. He was after all.....err.....Korean.

  • @oldfathergit He studied korean kempo .. however, it is said that there is no actual korean kempo, but that it is all chinese kenpo.

  • TKW is boxing with feed ;)

  • karate

  • Anyone knows what is the song used in the 100 men kumite?

  • Shotokan..

  • After studying traditional TaeKwonDo for years under the tutelage Master Chong Chul Rhee (father of Australian TaeKwonDo) who in turn was an original student of the modern arts founder General Hong Hi Choi, I find competitive TKD (TicTacTo) rather disturbing and only a shadow of the art itself. Do not judge the traditional TKD by this competitive sport as it is truly not an art.

  • @Brettannica1 ... ditto

  • I see very little defense. Don't the teach blocks in TKD?

  • @homersimps1 yeee tkd isnt very realistic either because in a real fight you will rarely have space to do high kicks.

  • @homersimps1 don't you see that back kicks?? that's the defence, anticipate the other one's move !

  • @homersimps1 they do... but they're taught, in sparring to keep hands down to maximize kicks... i still keep my hands up anyways ;P

  • @homersimps1 they do but in competitions if you block then its going to hurt depending on the person in my school we do full contact with and without sparring gear i blocked a kick and ended up with a broken arm

  • @tkdman151 Crazy. That's some serious power.

  • @homersimps1 yeah iv done alot of it and it hurts

  • Kyokushin is the Ultimate Truth

  • i laugh at people saying ooo you fall over in tkd..oo you will get you butt kicked in the street if you do tkd..oo tkd is so bad!! seriously people the sport fighting style is based around kicks. but the whole martial art is NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING ALL KICKS, if you knew anything TAE-means foot or to kick KWON-means hand or to strike with the hand DO-the art or the way. meaning from the name there are punches..i have learned knees, elbows, kicks and punches in tkd just like muay thai does.

  • eminem karate

  • Kyokushin karate FTW

  • i dont like it it makes me feel dizzy!

  • Nice video with a Nice Song. I Like it.

  • Kyokushin karate is the best

  • OSU!

  • if you want know fight you can training to box ... if you want more then fight you can training to traditional karate(i think goju-ryu((kyokushin and goju are from same family) is best choice ... but if you want be ballet-dancer you can choose taekwondo

  • @gladiator077 not even close...the sport fighting is based around kicks...but the martial arts is not just based around kicking you use knees, elbows, punches, and kicks in tkd. also tkd use to be more like karate until WTF made the rules for the sparring. it is a good martial art but people only see the sport fighting of tkd...also it isnt about the style it is about the fighter

  • TKD is only abour 30 years old. Ye your right, but martial arts are not sports there for self defence and fighting you dont get a chance in the world we live in today out on the street there no rules.

  • @08harrisa Try more like 60. And a different form of it dates back to about 2000 years ago.

  • @08harrisa did you say tkd has only been around for 30 years??? i am lost tkd has been around for almost 4000 years...the sport fighting has been around for about the same time but the old sport fighting used fists like ITF but they changed it to point fighting which is why the gear is there.

  • @tmakidd0703 tkd is an off shoot of karate that was brought to Korea after WWII. It was created and named taekwondo in the 50's. I'm not talking about Korean martial arts like taekyeun, subak or the fighting style that the hwarang warriors used. I'm referring only to taekwondo. 60 years old, max. look it up.

  • @jkasince1985 the name taekwondo has only been around for 60 years...but the martial art has been around for 4000 years...the style hasnt changed much from the old styles...it still has everything from throws, kicks, punches, joint locks, pressure points, and even grappling. but the name taekwondo has only been around for 60 years

  • so tired of people arguing over which style is the best. Did you ever think maybe these people don't give a shit what styles are better and they do it because they love it? I do Karate and deal with people saying "oh thats mainstream I do Muay Thai and I can kick your ass". Your attitudes stink if you're like that and you bring shame on all martial arts as you've forgotten what its all about =) just sayin'.

  • @karateprincess1 i agree...i do tkd and i love it but it isnt about style...it is about the fighter. i have fought muay thai fighter, karate fighter, and kickboxers but i have lost some and won some. there is no real "BEST" style. every style is great in their own way and every style has their weakness. just like every fighter. i just get sick and tired of people always putting down tkd while tkd is the 2nd most popular martial arts in the world...but i do agree with you

  • @tmakidd0703 yup its just plain stupid to go around insulting other people's techniques when half those people have never stepped foot in a martial arts academy let alone fought someone proficient in a certain style. Most people who've slammed my style have based their opinion entirely on what they see in the movies which makes me laugh. I do some Taekwondo aswell and it has improved my Karate immensely, I'm more flexible and fast since taking it up. Styles learn from eachother =)

  • @karateprincess1 yup i have been practicing tkd for 8 years and i have been teaching for 2 of them...it is a great martial art...we even have grappling in our dojang. tkd is a wonderful martial art to learn and it is great. but if you find a school who just teaches sport tkd then it is a waste of time...but if you find one the teaches traditional tkd then you will learn so much

  • excuse... taekwondo is just copy of shotokan karate,,,, they just make when they opened olimpic... no history and they dont know what is traditional.....

  • psssshhh Koreans own TaeKwonDo

  • Imagine you could use your hands in a soccer play, that's karate. We have hands to use them. Watch Andy Hug's hammer kick. Andy was a kyokushinkai fighter. Taekwondo is a wonderful fighting technique too.

  • @Tanirhum @Sir

Mr. Hug was a Kyokushinka then he joined Mr. Ishii's Seido Karate and fought in K-1. Osu

  • What a load of shit, TKD comes from karate and was made up from it. Karate is a MMA and if tought probably you can take on any martal art. You wont get any where with TKD, think about it its a martal art done for self decence out on the street at this time of year its wet and cold 1 your muscles wil be tight and you wont beable to kick someone in the head 2 even if you could you would slip over as its wet and icy and 3 you would get the shit kicked out of you. (my spelling is great i know :/ )

  • TKD BETTER 4ever !!!! karate isn,t bad.... but tkd WTF is better.... because is most effective, karate... you need give to much punches... with tkd just a kick !!! and the oponent was ! jajaja

  • teakwondos beter i do and im a champion in my division in the uk and im a cadet

  • aahhh...it's fun to watch sports

  • I guess in the realm of TKD it's effective. I notice they fall a lot, if you can't knock them out with a kick someone will eventually get on top when the guy kicking falls. Thank goodness for sport and referee.

  • @MrBudoshinkenpo.agree That is the different of martial art, combat systems and combat sports depenting on wat are you looking for>.<

  • i prefer karate

  • tekwondo is the best!!

  • 100 kumite

    =)

  • Kyokushinkai-the best KARATE

  • Kyokushin THE BEST!!!

  • kyokushin for life

  • 2 words - Kyokushin OSU

  • The Kyokushin is the stil of future. OSU!

  • no maaaamen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! los de Tae Kwan Do puras patadas a lo imbécil, y los de karate puros combates que aburren. Clarto, no falta un pendejo que se quiera defender del comentario jajajaja

    XD LOL FAP XOXOX .l.

  • everyone seems to look at wtf taekwondo to be what taekwondo is all about, but sparing in tkd is basically just a sport i go to a taekwondo school were we also use elbow and knee strikes just aswell as kicks and we also learn hapkido so taekwondo isnt just fancy kicks like some people believe it to be

  • @adimaria6 Unfortunately, a lot of people confuse the sport aspects of TKD (Mostly WTF) and the military aspects of TKD (Once upon a time the ITF, not sure now) and think that the approach to TKD self defense is as they see with all the gear.

This could not be more false. TKD is not a complete art, but it is a complete kicking art and has the best footwork and timing drills that I have seen in over 20 years of experience.

  • @Ravelife13 you couldnt be more right

  • karateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Taekwondo is a joke. I'm not trying to be a douchebag but it has no real world application. It might teach a few okay kicks but it's defenses are pathetic and it's next to useless for an actual fight.

  • @iZaneeee Taekwondo is based on strong attacks. Karate is based on defense.

  • @iZaneeee You don't know what you are talking about. It's not the TKD, but the TKD fighter. Some TKD fighters will destroy you, or block everything you could throw, but some fighters can't fight very well, or defend.

  • @CoinDetective Anderson Silva is a TKD black belt. Anthony Pettis is a TKD black belt. Stephan Bonner is a TKD black belt. The list goes on and on, these are all dudes who can fuck you up and their base art is TKD. They use more than just TKD, however, and anyone who does not cross train is only learning an art, not a weapon.

The best self defense is a carry permit, proper training, and a gun.

TKD is fun to participate in and fun to watch, fuck the haters.

  • @Ravelife13 I agree with you totally. I am currently cross training in Hapkido, but have also practiced Karate, and studied books written by Bruce Lee. What I enjoy most about martial arts is the improved physical, spiritual and mental well being. It's widespread and accessible to everyone. Each style of martial arts has it's positives and negatives depending on the situation. I'm sure you know all this, I'm just saying this for others who don't. Nice info on the TKD fighters

  • @CoinDetective your right it pisses me off how many people say taekwondo is garbage

  • @CoinDetective exactly...you knw what you are talking about.. its the same thing with Karate Kyokushin... what are you?? TKD or Karate? I'm a Karate apprentice

  • @olivator1000 I am TKD, with experience in Karate. I developed my power from Karate, and accuracy through TKD. I love them both, with Karate I am like a rooted tree, hard and firm. With TKD I am loose, light, and fast as the wind.

  • @CoinDetective sounds nice.... I started training TKD once but I stopped because we had to move :(... have done Judo, Aikido, Kendo, and Israeli Jujitsu... but I like Karate the best... you feel like if you had hands of stone... you just start winning fights with only one punch ^^... I love to compete... if you are as good as you sound I would really like to fight you once and later go grab a couple of beers XD

  • @iZaneeee Tennis is a joke. It might teach you a few swings but it has no real context in a real fight.

What you are watching on youtube for TKD is a sport. It is not meant to teach real, practical self defense.

Hwarang-Do is the historical precursor to TKD. It is also not practical for modern self defense, because it was developed for foot soldiers in the dark/middle ages.

Boxing is a joke. In the street people can grab you and there are no rounds.

    This leads nowhere! STFU nau!

  • playing body shots with a karate guy would SUCK, thats basically what karate sparring is; hardcore bodyshot game

  • kyokushin its just like kick boxing right ?

  • @muslimintelidie similar but are prohibited in karate punch in the face

  • @gumis45

    ahaaa okay thanx man

  • Karate Team vs Gracie Jiu Jitsu Team - No Holds Barred!

Search the above video on youtube.

  • There is no superior martial art, just diffrent levels. It is not the martial arts that makes the man it is the man that makes the martial arts.

  • What's karate?

  • I'll take Karate over TKDon't any day.

  • Are people still fucking arguing about kata? They existed as a pattern to teach you how to string combos together. Why don't people know this? Many Traditional Arts failed in the octagon because they didn't spar or compete 'for real' based on the reality that fights WILL hit the ground. Now, superior fighters are showing they have value, and MANY top ranked UFC fighters are TKD/Karate black belts, including most of the champs.

  • @Ravelife13

    Ref : Kata

Hoo bloody ray! Someone actually talking sense!

I had a great conversation with a boxer once along the lines of "So, Kata, it's useless isn't it ... you won't get attacked by a bunch of guys using techniques in that order" ..... "So, why do you use a punch bag then? You won't get attacked by a punch bag in the streets either" :P

And yes, it's strange how the majority of the best UFC fighters have X-trained in TKD or Karate ... maybe theres a lesson there :)

  • HEY PLZ CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF SHOTOKAN KARATE IS SAME AS THIS? THANKS!!!

  • @Tjunproductions Kyokushin is based on Shotokan.

  • @adamrothraisdead Not realy Kyokushin is more based on Goju-ryu and also Shotokan. But you can found some Judo technique in martial part of kyokushin because Soasai Oyama had a high rank in Judo. And Kyokushin fighter also study taikiken. Taikiken is a japanese martial art from kung-fu...

  • karate is pretty fn hardcore... but it looks more like brawling than actual thought out moves

  • @Epok97 because it's kyokushin. other styles are different.

  • i would say that both martial arts have effective techniques, my two favourite kicks are the spinning back kick and spinning hook kick. however i would say that the most effective stand up martial art is muay thai

  • TKD is long range, good when the enemy is coming to you. Karate is good for close quarters

  • Both techniques are weak as been proven in MMA

  • @modblogger1 actually georges st pierre, lyoto machida, chuck liddell have trained in karate, you could probably ask them, does karate suck? or you could ask the several oppenents they've defeated along the years

  • @mudkipzuzu

I understand that numerous fighters trained in Tae Kwon and Karate but ask yourself which art was actually utilized to defeat opponents? ALL fighters have multi training in different arts but doesn't mean they are used in a fight.

  • @modblogger1 not really taekwondo, kyokushin is more effective than you think, kyokushin and other martial arts are what make up the MMA. sure its true that not all arts they trained under are used in a fight, but i know for sure lyoto machida uses karate most of the time, with a little bit of cross training in other methods.

  • @mudkipzuzu

How many fighters do you think would choose TKD or Karate if they choose one form of discipline?

  • @modblogger1 listen, everyone has their preferences, you can't say everyone wants to do boxing or muay thai, lyoto machida joined the ufc because he wanted to prove hat karate would work in a cage fight. it would get boring if it was one style all the time, thats why its called mixed martial arts

  • @mudkipzuzu to answer your question, i would say, not many because everyone is pretty convinced by muay thai, but like i said some people are interested inother things

  • @modblogger1 A nice try, but styles are not called techniques. I am pretty Georges St Pierre, a Kyokushin Karate student was not only the champion, but is still considered one of the best fighters in the UFC. Besides, most MMA fighters have trained in and use karate in their fighting. Do you even fight and train or are you just one of those "I watch MMA so I can fight' kinda people?

  • @Chachy81NY

I should ask you the same question. I use to train in Karate, and then TKD. Both I found useless after a total of five years of training. I now train at the Erik Paulson Combat Wrestling Center in Fullerton. It has only been eight months but the techniques are far superior than TKD and Karate. Superior in a sense that they are useful. The odds of knocking out an opponent with a kick fails in comparison to a submission. This goes for a real street fight as well. Good try though.

  • @modblogger1 So are you more likely to get knocked out by Anderson Silva, or submitted?

  • Comment removed

  • @Ravelife13

What about Georges St. Pierre or any of the Gracies? This naming of fighters can proceed forever.
