It was hard to watch the movie about Aurora. It is one of the saddest movies I have ever seen. How anyone could hurt a child, or stand by and do nothing, is beyond my comprehension.

I am a victim of abuse as well. I was raped and beaten numerous times over the course of 4 years. The greatest nightmare is that this shit is, believe it or not, genetic. In the religious world, they say it's a spirit whereas the doctors like to call it depression and anxiety; but I say it's pure insanity. These people are so fucked up that they seek vengence and it would seem as if they are too scared to face it that they take it upon innocent children. @starryjade 'Aurore' is a documentory based off the story of Aurore Gagnon (May 31, 1909 - February 12, 1920), a victim of child abuse suffered at the hands of her stepmopther, Mary Ann Houde and her father Telesphore Gagnon in the small town of Fortierville, Quebec. The wake of her death left a resounding impact though-out Quebec society which still reverberates today. Aurore was 10 when she died, she is forever known as 'Le' infant mortyre' (The child martyr).

@ElenaTheMonster I know what you mean, I was abused as a child and taken out of that "Home" when I was 13(along with my 2 yuonger brothers and younger sister) and put in a Foster home and then later adopted by our foster parentsafter 6 years of being with the same home, But I believe that if my "mother" didnt try to kill herself, we wouldnt be alive right now and I wouldnt have my two little girls that are under 5 years old.

This is just 'effed' up. The fact that Aurore had endured two years of consistant abuse (actually torture) at the hand a sadistic sociopath of a step-mother. But, neither should her father be vindicated from accountability, for his lack of intervention allowed this attrocity to continue untill Aurore's death in 1920. I wish someone would have killed those two fuck-tards on principle for what they put Aurore through.

I've seen the whole movie, and one woman actually heard her screams, later even SAW her, with the burn marks and destroyed hair and everything, but she didn't do anything, although I don't think she could have done much if she had done anything. (i say this with feeling) , this movie has scard my life forever , after watching this movie its constantly in my mind , i dream the face of aurore and her hurt , i get nightmares of my step mum actualy hurting me (but she dont lol) i feel a great deal for aurore and what had happened to that poor 11 year old , at the moment i cannot concerntrate , in lessons because i can see the face aurore and the agony on her face, im only 15 and this will be stuck in my memory for life.
