Dr. Adelson should be ashamed of himself. "Diagnoses by exclusion" are impermissible and irresponsible, because they assume that the medical science at any given time has complete knowledge of every method of dying (which they do not). He should have determined the death "Inconclusive", which would have been the proper diagnoses in this case.

@scvbtr alcohol can be IN the body even when the person hasn't been drinking at all, b/c of something that happens during the death process that elevates certain chemicals in your body that are hard to discern from those of alcohol.
I know this is true b/c it happened to my friend's daughter, who was murdered by her husband and buried w/out preparation. The way they do in a regular death, which is to take out the blood and put in formaldehyde. Formaldehyde stops all the processes.

What a ridiculous investigation by the police... what were they doing all this time that clues could have been found? Kurt's mom was the one doing the investigating and finding out all the details instead.
God bless her and the Sova family for not giving up. Kurt seemed like a good kid who just got in with the wrong crowd. It's terrible to see how kids at that age are trying to grow up too quickly and doing stupid things which ends up with irreparable conclusions.

He was drinking that day before going to the party. This UM segment doesn't mention that, but a 1991 newspaper article from the Cleveland Plain-Dealer does (a 10-year retrospective on his case). Someone must have gave him something else at the party or else they would have nothing to cover up.

I think the people at the party were probably of mixed ages,mostly over 18,and were/are afraid theyll be charged
