I have two concerns with this keyboard. First, it only has one sample of each rhodes and wurli, this will get old after you've exhausted all your tweaks. they should've had a library of vintage sounds to choose from. mellotrons, different rhodes and wurli timbres, different organs. Secondly, (which could've redeemed the first.. some what) is having full control over each sound in the editor. when sound packs are free there's no point in not being able to make your own. this should've been great.
Nice demo, to me it seems like its a direct competition to the Nord Electro series, although to me the NE series have an infinitely superior organ sound and somewhat better pianos and EPs, plus now it has clavs and harpsichords. The onlything better on this would be the keybed. Still nice prodcut, korg!
One key difference that sets this apart from Nord is it's "interface", meaning the way you dial in & manipulate your sound. We can see the appeal of the simplified knob setup on the SV-1 for some people, especially if you are overwhelmed with buttons & lights on many keyboards. And using the included editing software, you can adjust & customize the various knob settings & functions, as well as parameters and settings not represented by the physical knobs (at least as default)

Maybe a stereo keyboard amp would make the sv1 piano sounds a bit better? Love the rhodes, wurly and string pads but feel let down with piano. Ross

Forget the piano on the Nord, this one sounds better.
