  • THE PERFECT CONNECTION BETWEEN THE MESSENGER OF GOD AND HIS MOTHER

  • sitting in the darkness.. and listening to this song.. gives me a feeling of peace that I cannot find anywhere else...

  • good one,,,,,

  • he is a saint....in the true sense of the word....Yes...Jesus is right there in the Sacrament!!!!

  • It is better than all Polish religious songs taken together

  • fair dinkum you lot.....this person put this song up here to give glory to God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit and all I read is stupid arguments over theology. Nothing has changed. Jesus had to offen correct the people, mostly pharisees or should I say religious no it alls, of this.

2 Timothy 2:14Remind everyone about these things, and command them in God's presence to stop fighting over words. Such arguments are useless, and they can ruin those who hear them. SO STOP ARGUING.

  • Magnificent Magnificat!

Thrice Holy God - Have Mercy on us!

Our Lady carried Jesus within her womb and so must we bring Jesus to others and see Jesus in others.

All of us are called to share in the holiness of God. We all are called to be saints on earth to others, to carry the life and light of Christ to others. So their souls will become Inflamed with the Love of God, and serve their family and neighbors in love, through love and with love.

    Holy is His Name!

May God be Praised, now and fo

  • who is John Talbot? Is he a priest? He sings so beautifully.

  • @spiritdancer1019 I am not Catholic, but a Protestant deeply sympathetic to much in Catholicism. I don't practice it, but praying to saints doesn't bother me. Christians routinely ask our fellow living saints to pray for us. We don't view living fellow Christians as replacement mediators. Why not, then, members of the Body who are already in heaven? They are not better, or more powerful, than the saints on earth, but they'd have God's ear, too. The Hail, Mary asks Mary to pray, not forgive.

  • Wow!!

  • @spiritdancer1019 AMEN :)!!

  • I saw him live at a church in Arizona, gave me goosebumps, listening to him sing accupeala.

  • I too love this song and find that it takes me deeper into not me but into the holy presence of God which indwells. I am always moved by this music. Hearing people sing this song together is simply amazing to me. It is very Biblical true and it is very transformational music. I have a thankful heart with I hear the words move in and through my body and hear and soul.

    Thank you John Michael

  • @suziqrev I loved your comment on the Holy is His Name song.

  • Thank you Mother Mary for giving life to Jesus, and for your ready "yes" to God!

  • For all who are Catholic and those who are not Watch "The Journey Home" on EWTN. You can go to their site for the schedule. Watch and then make up your minds or ask questions for your good and the good of all.

  • As an amateur theologian, seminary graduate, pastor and non-catholic I have often heard how Catholicism was "wrong". What I have come to realize is that Jesus is "right". I am a Jesus follower and so are my Catholic brothers and sisters. I am more concerned about our likenesses than our differences. While I do not pray to the saints I am convinced that God hears all prayers rendered to him in faith. God bless the Catholic Church and God bless the Kingdom of God, now and forever more! Amen!!!

  • Dear Friends,

Please see this loving and caring site.

    JustForCatholics DOT org

    Thank You :-)

  • While you question doctrines remember that one who is hungry or thirsty does not care one iota who your god is or not.

Jesus feed the hubgry so stop debating the useless and feed my sheep

Paraphrase I use with permission of the holy spirit

  • There Shouldn't be a dislike button here...a love button will do.

  • "For those who have faith - no explanation is needed" "For those without faith - seek the guidance of the holy spirit for wisdom"

  • Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Mama Mary...

  • Hey folks, I just saw John Michael Talbot in Stockton Ca. He was great. Looks a little different (much longer beard) lol just a few days ago.

    Keep the love and peace

  • I'm not Catholic but I,ve always like this guy

  • I love this song. When we sing it in our music ministry at church, in 3 part harmony, it is so beautiful and people always just love it. I don't know why the comments show that it's so controversial--Mary's song of praise which echoes Hannah's from the OT. It's Scripture, people! Sing the praises of the Lord! I also want to say that Martin Doman's rendition from his album "Praying Twice" is also very nice.

  • they estimate there are 5000 pedophile priests in the catholic church fffffffff)((&^$#@#and all your stupid old stories and doctrines , lots of good praying did for the kids who were messed with, including my little brother. its all abunch of crap that was started years ago to keep certain kings and religions dominate over the people.

  • @midlocal: I ask your forgiveness for the few cases of pedophilia in the Catholic Church. We are all human but I ask that our perfect and Holy God may cleanse you of your hate and show you the truth.

  • @midlocal mayGod give peace and healing to you and all victims touched by abuse. Actually the Church was started by Christ and entrusted to men who as we know are not perfect.

  • sing hooooooooooooooly CRAP :D

  • I believe in God and the Lord Jesus Christ his Son and I worship God but I refuse to pray To the Virgin Mary. The song is wonderful but I will worsip God only and not any saints or any Minister or the Pope or any Priest

  • @george19171 With all due respect, if you refuse to pray to the Virgin Mary, which we Catholics do to ask her to pray for us to God as an intercessor, then you shouldn't ask your fellow Christians to pray for you when you need prayers. Same thing. Peace.

  • @53helene Your statement makes no sense. We are instructed to pray for each other while we are alive and not pray TO each other whether dead OR alive! Praying FOR someone and praying TO someone are two different things. Praying TO ANY CREATED BEING is sin and ignorant. Praying FOR each other while we are alive is praying TO GOD ALONE ( Father, Son, Holy Spirit ) so we grow in Jesus Christ Himself.

  • @MyHunnyBunnyNora: we are the bride of christ, yes? if we are the bride then who is the bridegroom? Jesus. then if we pray to mary or any of the other saints we are praying to the bride of christ, who as the Bible say are one with her bride groom.

  • @george19171 Mary is part of the Church who is the bride of Christ. She(the church) has been joined to Christ and the two have become one flesh. their for if we pray to Mary we pray to Christ.

  • thank you Lord for your holy church and your anointing of the saints, continue to heal the church , your bride.

  • thank you Lord for your holy church and you anointing of hte saints, continue to heal the church , you bride.

  • Wow!! What a beautiful rendition of this song.... and how he brings the peace and presence of our Lord to my soul!! Thank you !! God Bless you !

  • i am not religious but this mans voice and his music give me religion/ he moves my soul.

  • @kraemermark Well if your considering any religion the Catholic is so beautiful, I have come home to the Church after a long dark time away, and it's amazing to come back to the light. Peace, and God bless you in your journey.

  • I am a little stunned. Having been raised by a Catholic parent, I was taught that a monk was just that...a monk, full time and living quarters in a monastery. Never heard of a 'lay-monk'? And even more important...monks are not married. Period. Nothing to me...but would think this would be offensive to the Catholic faith. ???

  • @imaresistor this depends on several things, the first is that it depends on if you are a first, second, or third degree monk, what order you are in and what the Superior allows you to do so this is actually quite kosher with the teaching of the Church

  • @oneofseven100 Perhaps. However, let me question you, if I might, about this. I am aware things have changed in the CC as things have changed in all denominations over the years. About what year did this change occur?

  • @imaresistor some would say that things changed during Vatican 2. but many changes are still going on today as the church reverts back to the original translation of many teachings.

  • Can anyone figure out which chords he is playing? Let me know, thanks. -Billy

  • Amen brother

  • The Bible declares that there is Only one mediator: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:5,6).

  • @lanenebraska yes but we as Catholics believe that once a saint is taken up to heaven he is united to the bride of Christ(the church) and their for is a part of Jesus Christ. it is just like asking the wife of somebody to ask their husband for something.

  • Holy is His Name has been proclaimed in my church for years..God breaths through this man's gift of music..

  • Christ Jesus offers himself to all of us freely. We must make a decision to either accept His forgiveness and make Him Lord and Master of our Lives , or just keep on existing and pretending that everything is alright and it doesn't matter if we make Him number "1" in our lives. Many will say, I believe, well good for you, so did satan believer. It is not enough to just believe, we must accept His forgiveness and seek to know and do His will.. Live your life for Christ. Seek Him

  • There is no Catholic Church, or Eastern Orthodox, Anglo-Catholic or Protestant churches either. There is only THE church, which continually breaks Christ's heart by bickering within itself.

Jesus is wherever you find him, whether the sign over the door says Baptist or Catholic or Fire Baptized Holiness. He goes wherever he will, unrestricted by the religious politics played by humans. Stop worrying about what your neighbor believes. God will not judge you for his actions, only your own.

  • @docslarn be a little careful about that, some of the so called "Christians" don't actually believe in Christ as Gods son they just believe he is a prophet. in order to be united you must believe that Jesus is God

  • @oneofseven100: no, I don't think so. God graciously comes to all who cry out to him, whether they have all their theological points lined up neatly or not. Many Unitarian Christians are more devoted to Christ than their Trinitarian cousins. I don't think that, on Judgment Day, God will have a doctrinal final exam ready for us all to take.

  • @docslarn yes but they must believe in him to cry out to him. plus he knows everything so no exam needed

  • @docslarn so true, my friend. man made religion is what divides. Look at all the other religions and you will see many different sects. It is a shame that we have divided the body of Christ so much through history, but I do believe that most who have given themselves up in faith with Christ, truly don't pay any attention to the name on the building. And, it was when the Holy Spirit fell on the first church, that they were totally united in one mind and spirit

  • Absolutely beautiful, and holy!!!

  • @WLinesman: Which of Catholic doctrines are not Biblically sound? I would say that protestant doctrines are not biblical: Sola Scriptura (nowhere in the Scripture), Sola Fide (Bible says: faith without deeds is dead) , bread and wine instead of Body and Blood (Jesus says: this is my Body, this is my Blood), self interpretation of the Scripture (everybody is a pope), etc. They are not biblical!

  • @starekino2 I agree - protestant churches were started by mere mortals i.e. Wesley - Catholic church was started by Jesus Christ, the son of God

  • @PPPD1 I believe you need a history lesson. The catholic church was never called by name till a couple hundred years after the Holy Spirit fell on the Apostles. They were first called Christians by all those who did not believe, because they were followers of Jesus. But let us not voice what we disagree upon, but give honor and edification in what we agree on. Christ and Christ alone is what we put our faith in, and know he is the only way. no church title will save anyone.

  • @PPPD1 but Jesus never called it the Catholic Church. We must not mistaken what Jesus said about his followers..they are mine because they believe in me. That word has a much greater meaning in the greek than it does in the english. We must die to the fleshly desires daily, and follow after the will of the Father. We must serve that faith with great passion, and feed on him daily.

  • @starekino2 we just always need to be sure to study the greek interpretation and not the English. Just like when Jesus said to peter, you are a rock, and upon this rock I will build my church, in the greek means more, you are a chip off the rock, and upon this rock I will build my church. And, this is a token of my body and my blood, not meaning it will mystically turn into his actual body and blood. It was given as a rememberance of what he did for us all on the cross.

  • @starekino2 True, true, true keep the faith bro.

  • People, theologians, etc., have been debating doctrine for as long as there has been religion. What sets Christianity apart is a life, death and resurrection, and for us simply a decision and a relationship. It all seems so simple, but that is all it can be. When we say yes to Christ we accept His birth, life, death, resurrection, and His Word. Our lives are a relationship with Him. We live in prayerful thanksgiving for what He has done for us, and His presence is our lives each moment.

  • @starekino2 There are plenty that are questionable.. in every denomination the west tried to break apart from the body outside of the 7 ecumenical counsels the following counsels up to Vatican II are not in its truest form ecumenical without the voice of the east.. the keys were given to all apostles to establish churches. you must remember Rome split against 5 other churches 5 against 1 doesn't seem like a wise move. both sides now lack..

  • @sinfulyetsaved These ecumenical changes are not changes of the Church Doctrine. Not in the slightest. The Church Doctrine is the doctrine of Jesus Christ, which has remained the same since the day of Pentecost. All 21 councils of the Catholic Church changed nothing except its traditions, liturgical celebrations, and terminology in Catholic prayer. These changes don't include the 7 sacraments, the veneration of Mary and the saints, or the duties of the Pope, priests or bishops.:)

  • @ Scottieboy100: actually, if I'm not wrong in Judaism Jesus is not seen as the Messiah, rather they are still waiting for the Messiah to come.

Do a wiki/google on "Judaism view of Jesus". It might provide more information on this.

  • Love this song. This is the reason Mary receives such high honor in the Catholic Church: She said yes to God and completely humbled herself before Him to bear the Son of God. She is a great example to all of us.

  • @erinmitbaren Yes, her willingness to serve god in whatever He asks is a sample to us all. But let us be careful of where we place that honor unto her. Jesus gave us example when the woman yelled, blessed be the woman from whom the breast fed you, and Jesus responded, but more blessed are those that hear my voice, and obey. Jesus knew how easily men would worship that which God did not give tend to amn to worship. We are to worship God alone, for He is a jealous God when it comes to worship

  • Holy s His name...amen

  • The beautiful Magnificat, the song of Mary. She recited this prayer when she visited her cousin Elizabeth. " My Soul Doth Magnify The Lord "

  • i loove this song so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love you Lord, and I'm proud to be catholic!

  • @alwayseekme and that is good, my brother. but it will gain you nothing in the day of judgment. God will receive no one into the kingdom for being proud of the title. Only for living their lives for the glory of God and God alone. Be Catholic, but above all, be faithful to Christ. The day will come and you may have to decide if you shall deny his lordship, or be killed. being a proud catholic will have no say in if you live or die. They will never ask you to give upbeing catholic, or die

  • I llove you Lord and I'm proud to be catholic!

  • John MIchael, could you please explain what you mean when you say "we can give birth to the REAL Jesus now in our time". I have watched this video many times and enjoy it - I love Mary and Jesus, but do not understand this statement you make in the video

  • @Mona4210 when the Angel came to Mary, it was the Holy Spirit that breathed life into Mary, and the word of God through faith gave birth to the child Jesus. So too, when we receive God's word into our lives by the power of the Holy spirit, Christ is born in us and through us. Mary gave birth to the flesh child, Jesus, and we give birth to the spiritual Christ child, the word of God (Jesus) in us, working through us, speaking the will of the Father to those that are lost.

  • JMT is truly gifted in voice by God, his singing is very uplifting. I remember in my darkest of days I would put his music on and it motivated me spirtiually to go on. I've met him in person and he is a sincere and a true man of God. Thank you JMT!

  • Good singer

  • Good Singer

  • The most beautiful rendition of The Magnificat I have ever heard. John, thank God you have such a beautiful voice. This song gives me so much inner peace.

  • I love my faith. I thank God everyday for showing me the light. I am truly blessed to be Catholic. Thank you JMT. What a great gift God has given you. God Bless.

  • Jesus came to do one thing, set the captives free.

He was referring to the captives of fear. Fear of a God who would condemn because of imperfect obedience to the Law.

Jesus fulfilled the Law & in doing so provided a new Covenant of grace. We now enter BOLDLY before His throne of GRACE, the grace of His love which has TAKEN AWAY our sin, (NOT covered it like the blood of bulls & goats, which is a continual reminder of sin) setting us free from FEARING God unto LOVING and trusting Him. 1 John 4

  • lagu yang penuh urapan

  • This is beautiful.

  • What a blessed song. I sang it during communion at my parish on Christmas Eve service. Thank you for posting this.

  • sang this song at oru 17 years ago. never knew JMT wrote it. beautifully done here

  • I am 40 now, but when I was in my early teens, I can remember meeting John at a workshop, and seeing him in concert. I can still listen to this song and love it the same as I did when I was young. I also still play it at church.

  • Great song, Great theology

  • WLinesmen....Amen.

  • Beautiful song loving every minute of it :D <3

  • Holy is our GOD! Amen!

  • Very nice!

  • Jesus, your Holiness overwhelms me <3

  • Dear brothers and sisters, having been a Christian growing up in the Catholic Church and now having spent more than two decades in other Christian Denominations, the Lord has shown me that we all make mistakes, both people and organizations, but I know when I go home to be with the Lord, he will not accept me because of what Church I belonged to but because of Jesus and I will not be judged by my denominational choice but my love and how I exercised it. Meditate on Gods Great Love.

  • @yourbrotherjames Amen, and Amen. I too, grew up Catholic, but have been in other churches over the past three decades. All will have only one answer to give when asked why we should be allowed in with God, and that will be because I trusted in the blood shed of Jesus on the cross. God bless, brother.

  • John, this is a fantastic song and you were truly inspired by the Holy Spirit to write it. For those who don't understand, we believe that we can ask any friend to pray for us and if they happen to be in heaven, even better. Mary has a special place because she was the Mother of Jesus, our Lord! She fed him at her breast, taught him to walk and wiped his divine butt. She was his MOM! For this reason, she gains a special place in our hearts, not because she is Divine, but HIS mother.

  • Praise The Lord!!! Holy is His Name!!

  • God's word in Rev. 18:4,5 says .......Come out of her my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues, for her sins are piled up into heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.

  • @eriesal

Poltics is the whore and Modernism is her abomination get it right nothing to deal with a church but politics. :)

    Much love <3

    God bless u :)

  • whatever protestan said about him and his believing, the important is that now is embracing The Catholic faith. for 30 years he was looking for the truth and finally he fine it in The Holy Catholic Church. Please reflect on this fact and stop make stupid coment

  • Praised Be Jesus Christ! May He Be Loved and Adored Through all the Tabernacles of the World! Above the Earth, Under the Earth, on the Earth and IN OUR HEARTS!!

  • This song is Biblical look Luke 1:46-55. Mary, mother of God and Mother of the Church pray for us.

  • thanks john for this marian tribute, jesus mother and our mother, in our day, in our time!

  • michael talbot, you are the good servant of christ. this "magnificat" allows me to dwell in Gods holy grounds. Congrats to you and your franciscans community. Blgs

  • I am not a a Christian but this man has passion and a beautiful voice.

  • @spiritualcat: God loves you. it is not about a religion but about a personal relationship with your Creator. Church cannot save you. Seek God and He will reveal Himself to you. I have prayed for you and you need to know that you are loved beyond your wildest dreams. God bless.

  • @ljackso Thank you for your prayer. I agree with you there that I am loved just as I am . I do seek and find God daily. I am simply not following the Christian path per say. I am a Spiritualist and as part of my faith I look to all expressions of spirituality as opportunities to connect with God. God Bless you too!

  • Praise God, He uses all those who humble themselves to His Call.

  • Humans were made in god's image. Think about what your saying when you say "Just Mary" this is the mother of god in his image, We are just adopted sons and daughters in his image.

  • Oh my goodness, when he asks us to sing, I try to sing but I can't because I'm crying too much to get any of the words out! But I "sing" anyway... or try to sing.

  • Kocham barwę głosu Talbota.

  • @squonkiv Scripture is factual. I put my faith in God, not in the supposed wisdom of man. Holy is his name!

  • Comment removed

  • squonkiv....God is God, not a religion. Religions were created by man (and woman) because he does not want to yield to God and wants to do things his way. Scripture is given to us as a guide to follow in life. In it you will find the true way to live and the true way to please God....nothing to do with religion.

    Yeshua is Lord - Shalom.

  • This is not a valid opinion. Jesus, Who is God definitely started a church. Read the sixteenth chapter of Matthew. Also, it was the Catholic Church that put together the Bible, as you now know it, during the fourth century. Bible alone is not supported by Scripture itself

  • BigBearPaul, WE are the church, not the building where we gather. We the believers are referred to as 'the Bride', 'the Church' in scripture (which is old and new testament). We know the whole Bible is God's complete Word because the new testament supports the old testament, contrary to what misguided and confused people say. Yeshua (Jesus) LIVED the Word (old testament), became flesh of the Word. Once He did that we were able to have a personal relationship with the Father Adonai directly.

  • The GREATEST commandment is to love 1 another as Jesus done for us, when our Blessed Lord COMMANDED us to do this on the night of that last supper. This is the mark of Jesus' true follower. God Bless.

  • I respectfully ask why people bring philosophical, intellectual debates to a music board. I thoroughly enjoy the music. Can we not just enjoy the music & each other's friendship on here? Or is this stupid to ask??? Please people, can someone explain to me this? I'm just a wimp & dislike debates & arguing. I know ppl will probably curse me for what I written. Just expressing my view, just like you all. Mind you, I'm a small man, who quietly gets on with his faith. THANK YOU! God Bless.

  • @josey165 I find debate can be important when standing up for god's truth. We just want nothing more than our brothers and sisters to have the truth aswell. If it is not done in this spirit then i would agree with you.

  • Dear appolose, Mary, Mother of Jesus did the will of God. Hence she was honoured to be the mother of Jesus.

  • Yes, I am not contesting that. What I am, however, is the notion that to be the mother of Jesus is to be greater than all other saints, or to whatever high status to which Mary is elevated. As Jesus pointed out in Luke 11:28, being his mother does not necessarily mean anything: God could have chosen anyone He pleased to be Jesus' mother. Mary was chosen because she was good, yes, but it doesn't say how good.

  • Mary was greeted as "full of grace" Grace is God's life within us. and then she was called "blessed among women" because she of this. she is the new ark of God's covenant; she also had free will and said "yes" to God for the greatest motherhood on earth

  • Quite a few people were called blessed in the Bible. Noah was selected out of all of humanity to re-begin the human race, should he not be held in such high regard as Mary? Saul prophesied while chasing after David to murder him.

My point is, Mary was good, yes, but the miracle is still not indicative of anything necessarily. Also, the new ark of the covenant is every Christian, as Christ resides in us.

  • Mary is indeed above all saints . She is the "Mother of the Church " and " Queen of Heaven ". God the Father Himself, chose her to give birth to God the son( the second person of the Holy Trinity ). She was preserved from all sin and was spared the stain of original-sin from the moment of her conception, hence the title- " The Immaculate Conception ". Mary has many titles often representive of the graces that God grants to his faithful in response to Mary's prayers (on our behalf) to Him.

  • @loreal60901 With all due respect, we are to pray to God not to Mary. She cannot save you or anyone. Pray to God and Him alone. Mary is indeed blessed but she is not deity. Jesus Christ is LORD of all.

  • Nobody every said that Mary could save anyone. Mary is only a perfect example of the faithful. There is no claim out there that she is deity.

  • @bigtree300 : If I am wrong then I apologize But it is my understanding thhat Catholics 'pray' to the Saints and to Mary. In the 'Holy Mary Mother of God' statement it implies that Mary is equal to God. She is indeed a very blessed and wonderful lady but She is NOT to be prayed to. We are to pray to God and Him alone. Peace.

  • Oh I see what you mean. Well, yes, we as Catholics believe that Mary intercedes for usand when we "pray" to her, we simply ask that she pray for us. Whatever our beliefs, however, we are all chldren of Abraham, children of God and there is only one God. Isn't it comforting to know that among all the beliefs in Christianity, God is the same for all? God bless you always.

  • @ljackso Whatever

  • @ljackso

Whatever who gives a damn just listen to the song thats what matters the most

  • If you were to look at that fact from that angle of questioning "how good?", then you have missed what is it to be spiritual after all. God did what He knew best and He did it. We observe Mary's actions and understand like a little child. If you were to ask "how good?", then you are going back to works. .

  • We don't look at it from an angle of 'how good'. We simply understand that the importance of understanding Mary is in her acceptance of what God has chosen to do through her. We want to imitate her by accepting our Lord Jesus and doing as he asks us to do.

This song is clearly biblical in verse in reference to Mary and it, like all true Catholic teachings on Mary, point us in the direction of worship and love of you Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ... "And holy, holy, holy is His name!"

  • Sorry, my reply was to appolose.

  • I think the undue worship of Mary as above God is wrong and this has been practiced throughout the Church age. However we are not discussing church history, just a spiritual value that Mary had and God honoured. One can be a Protestant and yet agree that Mary was specially chosen.

  • @jwdeva we Catholics do not "worship" Mary. Worship is for God alone. We Venerate Mary because she is the Mother of God. The greatest of all saints.

  • @bobbiebrew: Thank you for your comment. it is true we are to worship God and him alone. Mary is a very special lady but she cannot save you. I pray everyone will get to know her Son, Jesus Christ. Maranatha!

  • If one does not, then it is simply being antagonistic to a Catholic tradition for the sake of being Protestant. The virtue of Mary being special in being chosen to be the Mother of Jesus is not necessarily Catholic but Biblical

  • @appolose mary was chosen because it was God's will and not because mary was "good". it was not due to her merits that she was chosen but by the mercy and grace of God.

  • Partly, I'm sure her goodness may have had something to do with it (much like Noah), although I'm not sure if you're contesting my point about Mary being too highly elevated.

  • I sang this song in church today...one of my favorite christian songs ever!!!....my favorite part: for the mighty God has done great things for me and holy is his name....Praise God

  • Hey Ray,

Jesus is God, Mary is the Mother of God how can she logically be like any other Christian or saint?

Another Mary? .. Who can you put in her place that can meet or exceed the merits God Himself gave her?

  • In response to the comment that "There could have been another Mary if she disobeyed..." Yes, there could have been another Mary. But you have to respect the mother of Jesus, Mary, because she DID NOT DISOBEY, she OBEYED. She IS the mother of Christ Jesus. She is a holy and perfect example of human life. Why can my protestant brothers and sisters not recognize mother Mary for her blessed and annointed role in the history of this poor world?

  • In response to this debate, can some1 please tell me who we should worship or who deserves our worship alone??? I'm struggling to understand. Keep in mind the FIRST commandment (given by Moses), you will HAVE NO other G-d but me, nor bow to them or serve them.

  • First of all, the 1st commandment was given by GOD himself. Moses simply relayed the message. 2nd of all-- We venerate Mary. She holds a special place in history as the MOTHER of JESUS. The only one who deserves "bowing" and "serving" is God. We honor God by praying, serving, and living a good life THROUGH Jesus Christ. Even Jesus prays to and worhsips his Father-- God. (Who is also OUR Father.) All the saints (Mary included) are role-models or examples for life. Most of them gave up their lives

  • I am not catholic but I have always enjoyed his music he is very good at what he does. He is a Man with a higher calling being led by his creator

  • John Michael Talbot used to be in a rock band called Mason Proffit. Opened for Pink Floyd, Greatful Dead, etc.

  • As a Protestant, whilst I may not find the doctrines of much of Catholicism Biblically sound, I admit that there are many of my Brethren in Christ within the Catholic Church & if ever a song was anointed of God? This one truly is. God bless all my brothers & sisters wherever you may be.

Your servant in Him by His grace alone. : )

  • @WLinesman As a Catholic and firm believer of Church teachings. I will also admit that there are many of my Protestant brothers and sisters in Christ whom are very good and holy people. God bless you.

  • @WLinesman i could not agree with you more.... and i am an EX catholic.

  • @WLinesman Agreed. This song is a gift from God, whether you be Catholic (raises hand) or Protestant or what have you. : D

  • @WLinesman

As a Catholic, I find that we are the most biblically sound faith considering that we are the oldest Christian denomination. So I take offense to your assertions.

But right you are, this is such a beautiful song that can bring us all together in Christ.

  • @salemgog I would say the most biblically sound faith and the oldest Christian demonination would be that of the Jews.

  • @scottieboy100 With all due respect, although the Christian faith sprang from Judaism, the Jewish faith is not Christian - that's an oxymoron since the Jews do not recognize Christ as the Messiah. Peace.

  • @53helene Thank you for your post. First let me say I love talking about the Lord period. There is no win or loose when you discuss the Lord. Now, I have to disagree about your statement the Jewish faith is not Christian. The Bible says that the Lord will always reserve a reminant which is the Jews. In the old testimate it states Reminant are the Jews who believe in Jesus. Some people call them the Mesianic Jews. They do believe in Christ as the Messiah.

  • @scottieboy100 Amen

  • @WLinesman all of Catholicism is bibically based - read books by Scott Hahn for wonderful explanations

  • this is a very powerful prayer and witness to the greatness of our God. brothers and sisters i invite each one of you to meditate on the richness of the canticle of the magnificat. make this prayer your own and believe faithfully to this message. am sure our protestant friends will agree but if not then you are definately missing a all lot

  • One of the most beautiful songs that led me from the Lord to His Church, and His Truth. Oh, I love Him so! And John Michael Talbot has led me to love Him more!

  • Could somebody please do a song of JMT's song "As A Prisoner" (about St. Paul in chains pleading one faith, etc). It's beautiful.

  • This song just takes me to another place. I have an arrangement of it by Phil Driscoll that I am going to sing at my church with a lady playing flute instead of trumpet. "my soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord" !! Yes!!

  • God speaks loudest in the silence...that which is not spoken draws on community through the Holy Spirit to find the answer. Thank you JMT for over 20 years of speaking through silence of God's Word to me and others.

  • Wow Wonderful Really One of the Best Gods Troubadours Hallelujah The ETERNAL-LOVE-WIND-EAGLE-SPACE-ROCKET-SHIP-JESUS COMES VERY SOON---HALLELUJAH FATHER AND LORD JESUS CHRIST

  • God is in Timbuctu and Sedley as much as he is in Rome. Please, seek God in your heart, and don't run off to places seeking orthodoxy and the "right" way of doing things. Walk humbly with God, love kindness and mercy, and seek justice. These three things the Lord requires of us.

  • Only God knows how many souls JMT has touched with his sacred music, a true Troubadour for the Lord.

Thank you Lord for this good man!

  • A troubadour for the Lord. What a good way to describe him, Crafter 111. Do you know it was 1:11 when I got up to check my email and then go this ? :) He really brings this music from his heart and invites it to come from everyone who hears it. Even us on the internet. Peace and love to you, John Talbot. God bless.
