A thousand thank yous!!! This saved me an hour of staring in confusion at my Algebra book. It also saved me from stupidly slinking off to my teacher for help. It was so simple!
It seems using this girl at the beginning is very useful. The videos with this girl are the only two videos I have that have views above 10,000. I guess I have to use here again :).
Heheh, I'm taking Calculus AB this year, and I must say, this is an excellent video. Great pace and great explanations. Plus, it's here for me to rewind over and over, something that cannot be accomplished with a human being. This helped me a lot, I'm definitely watching more and recommending this to my friends if they need any help.
REALLY? REALLY? REALLY? REALLY?????? my teacher makes things complicated.. i am going to be back here lots and lots and lots and lots..
I am taken pre-calc and i dunno how it slipped my mind, i could do step functions just fine, but this slipped my mind.. i think its my nature.. i remember the complicated stuff and trash the simple stuff.. usually there is plenty of lesser minded people around to remember this kinds of stuff
Thank you so much for this! I'm taking AP Calculus this year and felt like an idiot when piece-wise functions showed up in my homework! I couldn't remember how to do them... In fact, I don't think I've ever learned how to do them (GA's math system is really messed up). Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)
I have to say thanks. your slower moving and fully explained lesson works wonders. you give time to understand what you said before you move on which is something most people don't. you defently saved me with this lesson. thanks!!
i have a question: how come in 7:22, you just plug in -1? since you said we ignore the restriction, then we could plug in whichever number, right? but what if that number was positive? then the graph and the solution would be a completely different story, now would it? if you can explain i would greatly appreciate it :)
I am having a review test on algerbra 2 the frist couple days in my pre calculus honors class and this video helped so much with helping me remeber how to do these finds of functions!!
The accent actually made it seem like I was being taught by a college professor hah.

Thank you for your explanation :) The language barrier did not hinder your ability to demonstrate the concept in my opinion.

So when you are graphing piecewise functions, you basically pick two coordinates by picking your own values for x and graphing them?
