Cal Hulse??? lol. Why didn't that big baby Lindros ever pick a fight with a real enforcer like Laracques, Brashear, Probert, Twist, Worrell, Shelley, Langdon, Grimson etc. The one enforcer I saw him fight was McSorley who wound up getting the upper hand before the refs saved Eric. Picking on guys half his size like Taylor, Niedermayer, Gill, Wilson, Reekie, Sweeney, Mclaren, Zettler exposed him for the bully he was. Against Hatcher of comparable size he looked ordinary. Pilon beat him in Rd #2.
@encompasser Why?Because those were exactly the ones who pissed him off at the moment or challenged him,or tripped,or kneed him, what have you.Why in the world would he challenge those aforementioned guys just for the sake of fighting?Hello! He was a superstar paid for making plays, and unfortunately, for protecting himself and his teammates. So,my point is,if Zettler slashed him or tripped him,he'd challenge the guilty person.Simple as that.
@gtrefghuk It went very well for him, actually.Lindros was at the end of his shift, tired. The only blood I saw was on McSorley's face.McSorley knew had he left his jersey on,Lindros would've beat him, hence jersey off .Til then,Lindros had him under control. The McSorley's gesture in the end was his frustration. He expected to knock Lindros down.Nobody ever did it.The big guy was unbeatable in every aspect of the game.Legal aspect,of course.
Hulse , Just an average fighter , and Lindros could barely handle him , for a guy 6-5 and 235lbs Ihave never seen him go toe to toe with a real fighter ! as for one of the best ? he never even had a 50 goal season , spare me.
@47tooter Dude, you have a mess in your comments.Lindros was paid for something that wasn't called fighting.Get that finally.Fighting was an icing on the cake for the Flyers fans, which is what he gave them every time.He didn't work on his fighting abilities, because he wouldn't lose his job if he stopped fighting.Unlike the guys who were paid to fight. It was the only way how to make living and stay in the NHL.A pretty simple bottom line.
@47tooter None of them were tougher, let alone more physical, and keep in mind,Lindros was a playmaker, meaning he created not waited for somebody to make a play.Lindros is in his own category, once in a lifetime player, period.
@47tooter Jerk? You and similarly thinking people need to stop listen to rumors and what media say.Lindros is the opposite of jerk. You actually need to talk to people who personally know him and have a clear head.Nobody, and I mean nobody was as physical as Lindros, period.Neely could only dream of things that Lindros was capable of.
@88BigEtrain When Lindros refused to put on a Quebec sweater and insulted an organization that chose him to be their leader showed me what an 18 year old snot nosed JERK he is !
@47tooter Lindros had great reasons to refuse to put that sweater on.Two francophone teams in entire league and he ends up being drafted by consistently the lousiest and the most insolvent team.Terrible marketibility,no endorsements,French.I mean,a terrible deal.Thank God,Lindros wound up in Philly in had torn apart the league.Lindros=Flyers,Flyers=Lindros.Forever.
@88BigEtrain Sure , He had good reasons but you put the sweater on and be happy and proud you were picked #1 and you make your career decisions later !
@47tooter Again,he had the power and statue to make that decision(and I guarantee you that Carl wanted it that way,Thank God),and it was one of the most thrilling moments to see him put on that beautiful orange, black and white Flyers jersey. He had never looked better in any other jersey. No French,please.Lindros=Flyers,Flyers=Lindros.Forever.No regrets.
Hulse was OK fighter but Lindros was good one for sure. In this nice battle Lindros was more "in mainpart" landing more.He landed few strong punches. Hulse was all passive. Lindros was a helluva hockey player in his prime. He and Forsberg has been one of the best in allhistory of hockey hard to say who are the best ones; maybe Gretzky Lemieux Forsberg Lindros Howe Jagr Malkin now
it's funny because he's my friends 3rd cousin LOL

@88BigEtrain He could have been a tougher forward and still scored , there have been a few , Brendan Shanahan , Cam Neely , Jerome Iginla.
