Watching Shia Labeouf in Even Stevens and in this movie is a big difference in the roles he plays. I cried watching this because, I too have a disability and I felt bad and sad. And that is how life is for me sometimes. But hey, were all just people and we can all do simple things like walk, talk, touch and have the same emotions.
This movie means so much!! I used to have Auditory Processing Disorder (APD). Growing up and coping with a learning disability throughout late elementary school to early high school was really emotional and confusing! However, with the help of my parents and awesome teachers, I improved so much within the academic field. By the end of high school, I got off the IEP and got A's in Honor classes! I hope that people realize that mentally disabled kids have just as much potential as normal kids! <3

Don't Get Me Wrong, I know Disney is a kids & family channel and it's an escape for kids from the everyday stuff that young people face and that are out there in the world. but, at the same time they also should somethng that makes aware about serious issues that are going on!!!! things like: (ullyng, eating disorders, body issues/self esteem, dislexia, autism, cancer, physical disability & so on) they don't have to be to serious & heavy it's can have some light moments too!!!!
I agree think Disney Channel should have more movies like this now!!! that talk about and educate kids & teens on real issuses. or at least do a special epsiode or 2 other them one of their shows. and cut out all of this teen boppy, bubble guming, sugar coated, silly, non sense movies & shows they always show all the time!!! put out at least 1 or 2 moves or shows like this!!!!

I can't handle this movie. Don't get me wrong; of what I've seen, it's a great movie. However, I have a brother who has a severe diagnosis of autism. Kids, even adults, have made fun of him for it. I always wonder if I've ever been a good enough sister to him, because he can't even talk or function normally, so it's hard to do things with him. I still love him, but since in this movie, Shia is like the voice of all those other kids who can't express what they feel or think, it's hard to watch.
Eddie was one of my favorite characters, and my mom is a Social Worker so I see them and treat people like Eddie like everyone else. I think that's why it always made me sad watching people treat him the way they did, it's just something that isn't right.
I'm so glad that this is on here! This was my favorite movie when it came out, because it was real. It makes me sad that Disney Channel only aired it 3 or 4 times because parents thought the subject was 'too strong' for their kids, but it's movies like this that kids should be watching. They can learn so much more from this then they can from High School Musical.

When I was a little younger I loved this movie. It touched my heart & soul at a young age, taught me to be friendly to different people, made me cry, & made me see what the real was offers in people. I miss when Disney taught me things & not just gave me a cheap laugh, like it does now-a-days.

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY HER FRIENDS DONT WANT TO COME IN HER HOUSE, IF THEY WERE HER REAL FRIENDS THEY WOULD BE NICE AND RESPECTFUL TO HER FAMILY. I can't handle this movie. Don't get me wrong; of what I've seen, it's a great movie. However, I have a brother who has a severe diagnosis of autism. Kids, even adults, have made fun of him for it. I always wonder if I've ever been a good enough sister to him, because he can't even talk or function normally, so it's hard to do things with him. I still love him, but since in this movie, Shia is like the voice of all those other kids who can't express what they feel or think, it's hard to watch.

Eddie was one of my favorite characters, and my mom is a Social Worker so I see them and treat people like Eddie like everyone else. I think that's why it always made me sad watching people treat him the way they did, it's just something that isn't right.

I'm so glad that this is on here! This was my favorite movie when it came out, because it was real. It makes me sad that Disney Channel only aired it 3 or 4 times because parents thought the subject was 'too strong' for their kids, but it's movies like this that kids should be watching. They can learn so much more from this then they can from High School Musical.

When I was a little younger I loved this movie. It touched my heart & soul at a young age, taught me to be friendly to different people, made me cry, & made me see what the real was offers in people. I miss when Disney taught me things & not just gave me a cheap laugh, like it does now-a-days.
