lol no it's not. If you run auto rx in your engine and then use a true synthetic oil such as royal purple you will never have a sludge problem with the 2.7. Now if you fail to follow maintenance and change parts such as a water pump then yes you will get a sludge issue after water starts to leak into your engine. :)

comment to civicboy. Don't try and race an 04 rodeo with the 3.5s, they crank out 250hp and would blow your civic away. They run 0-60 in about 7 flat and have no speedlimiter. I've put mine over 120 and still had plenty of pedal left. It's a 4x4 too. Also, don't comment if you don't know what you're talking about. Rodeos are some of the best midsize suvs out there. They only weigh about 4100 lbs. Thats 800 lbs lighter than my qx4 (same size vehicle, same engine).
You're all dumb! The 95 maxima's had 3.0l engines and would blow that intrepid away. Those maxima's will run 0-60 in 6 flat. I've owned a 96 maxima,and 2001 infiniti i30t. Both fuckin fast (maxima is faster). They didn't start puttin 3.5s in them until 04 i believe. New ones in 09 have the new 3.7s.

Any Honda Civic would beat your Isuzu Rodeo. First off, the Rodeo is very heavy and is very under powered. Second, your Rodeo came standard with a 3.2 POS engine that puts out 190 H.P. By the time you reached a 100 MPH with your Rodeo, The Maxima would be 1/2 mile ahead of you, and your engine would have a rod through the side of the block. These 3.2 engines are truely a POS.

yea those intrepids are have potential. 200 hp in a 3400 lbs. car. pretty darn good. but those 2.7 v6s aren't that reliable. and the 3.2s and 3.5s are hard to find. thats why im going with an '01 crown vic instead.

the intrepid accually has a decent amount of power to weight ratio. depending on the model....your maxima was probobly a good 300-500 lbs heavier. Thats why they aren't as fast. plus....intrepid engines have low gear ratios.....most intrepid with the governers taken out will top there (fourth or fifth depending on the model) gears at around 125-135
.actually a 300zx has a VG30 the maxima has the VQ30 the older maximas before 95 had the VG but the VQ had just a lil more power and IT WAS LIGHTER it won best engine of the year and a few other awards..
the VQ30DE in my maxima fucking HAULS its very reliable, and its accelaration can be matched with AWD turbo cars... its sweet dude... the VG30 is slow.. i raced MY HOMIES 300ZX check out the VIDEO!! i smoked him by more than 4 cars lenghts!!
Great race but the Intrepid was an SE model. When you pass him up and move the camera out the passenger window you can definitely see the Intrepid doesn't have fog lights and you can see the hub caps. SE models came with the 2.7 (190HP) & hub caps. ES, RT, & SXT came with the 3.5, aluminum wheels and fog lights. Still a good win.

You're all dumb! The 95 maxima's had 3.0l engines and would blow that intrepid away. Those maxima's will run 0-60 in 6 flat. I've owned a 96 maxima,and 2001 infiniti i30t. Both fuckin fast (maxima is faster). They didn't start puttin 3.5s in them until 04 i believe. New ones in 09 have the new 3.7s.

I think the video here sums it up in one word "Owned!" I think first off, you need to know what your talking about here. Sadly, your Dodge Intrepid never came in a 3.8 V8, and the only engines that were available in this vehicle were a V6 2.7, 3.2, 3.5 High Output. The only engine that would have a chance against this Maxima would be the 3.5. Know what your talking about before you post a comment!

Any Honda Civic would beat your Isuzu Rodeo. First off, the Rodeo is very heavy and is very under powered. Second, your Rodeo came standard with a 3.2 POS engine that puts out 190 H.P. By the time you reached a 100 MPH with your Rodeo, The Maxima would be 1/2 mile ahead of you, and your engine would have a rod through the side of the block. These 3.2 engines are truely a POS.

I have a 2003 Intrepid SXT with the 3.5L HO. Last weekend the family and I (four of us) raced a guy in a newer Trans Am stop light to stoplight (about a 1/4 mile) and beat him by over a car length. Pretty good for a grocery getter!

yea those intrepids are have potential. 200 hp in a 3400 lbs. car. pretty darn good. but those 2.7 v6s aren't that reliable. and the 3.2s and 3.5s are hard to find. thats why im going with an '01 crown vic instead.

the intrepid accually has a decent amount of power to weight ratio. depending on the model....your maxima was probobly a good 300-500 lbs heavier. Thats why they aren't as fast. plus....intrepid engines have low gear ratios.....most intrepid with the governers taken out will top there (fourth or fifth depending on the model) gears at around 125-135

the VQ30DE in my maxima fucking HAULS its very reliable, and its accelaration can be matched with AWD turbo cars... its sweet dude... the VG30 is slow.. i raced MY HOMIES 300ZX check out the VIDEO!! i smoked him by more than 4 cars lenghts!!

Great race but the Intrepid was an SE model. When you pass him up and move the camera out the passenger window you can definitely see the Intrepid doesn't have fog lights and you can see the hub caps. SE models came with the 2.7 (190HP) & hub caps. ES, RT, & SXT came with the 3.5, aluminum wheels and fog lights. Still a good win.
