So we r back to square one I see. I really thought that was it. It is similar but not it. I wonder where the music Tyson used came from. Is he on Twitter you think? Lol.
This is my all time favorite drone / ambient album. It's so different than the usual stuff - there's an enigmatic, sinister, cold quality to it. Most ambient music tends be uplifting and directed outwardly but this is like going into a claustrophobic, perennial underworld through a psychic portal in your mind.
I'd heard there was a boxed set of this coming out at some point but now that Peter and Jhonn are both gone, I doubt it'll ever see the light of day - if it ever existed at all.
I checked on it. Tyson's entrance was from a 1988 fight and this song is from the late 90's ( I believe ). I do have to say that the entrance music he used sounded mighty damned similar to this song.
Yes Chex, this is the song Tyson used against Spinks. What a genius pick of a song to make an entrance to. When Spinks heard this song he must have thought, "oh boy, what'd i get myself into here?". lol
@jsngallery - This isn't Time Machines by Coil. The album "Time Machines" was released in 1998 and this fight was in 1988. As far as I can tell, this was made specially for Tyson.
slipping silently into a narcotic fever i heard this song. moved along with it's pulse until i realized that john is dead. woke up covered in blood and shit and strips of my flesh ripped off with my own fingers. no, it will never be the same again. it never was to begin with.
@Rockstafar what would be some other cool ambient music similar to this coil time machine suff? I would like something that brings a sense of doom and destruction. If you know of any...
Yes, most overwhelming at times, such a cataclysmic loss. Time Machines is likely my favorite album of all time. I've never heard an album that channels energy in the way this one does, it feels like a poisonous spirit is injected into my head as soon as Telepathine spawns and it oozes and courses through my head, an incredibly powerful creation. Greatest ambient ritual I've ever heard.
I do not exagerate when I say that this album, (with the help of other scraments) has taken me to far away places. John is truly missed, but his legacy is here for other travelers to use as a guide, or vehicle if you will.

This isn't the music Tyson used to come out to Spinks, it was just ambient noise with chains clashing every couple seconds
Henrydaddy69 9 months ago
It's a wonderful piece of music, but it's not what Tyson used against Spinks.

This still dosen't sound quite the same though. In the Tyson theme you could hear those chains clanging.

this is not tyson's entrance theme vs spinks by any possible way!
if someone found the actual theme please tell me

@Altoilet Sounds like it to me, maybe we should ask Spinks, I'm sure he hears that shit in his sleep. Tyson gave him PTSD with this song.

I really don't think that this is the music that Tyson used for his entrance against Spinks. It's similar, but definitely not the same.

@wonhole exactly....i don't hear any of those sounds. This can't be the tune that Tyson came out to. Similar, sure.....but definitely not the same.

Did Mike Tyson use this song for his fight with Spinks?

True, Spinks told his trainer he didn't want to fight, he was intimidated by Tysons entrance. That's worth a lol yes lol

@jsngallery Damn. I have to give Tyson credit for that. Using Coil as entry music to the ring.

@jsngallery This is not Tyson's intro music, the music in the Spinks fight had chinking metal sounds to it aswell, and was a lower tone.

yes and that what made the entrance so intimidating
