the lady who sings the real True Grit theme song is named Iris DeMent; she is phenomenal, in my opinion.  like i said, these gals are great, but you gotta give credit where it's due. I highly recommend Songcatcher; the song Pretty Saro as sung by DeMent is haunting and true mountain music.

this is NOT the song from True Grit; the song in True Grit is Leanin' on the Everlastin' Arms and is sung by the same woman who sings in the movie Songcatcher. These girls are good, but this is not the music from True Grit.
