@jumpydough really?? 3 1/2 years and you couldnt do 3 chords? ive only been playing  for a year and i learned from books before i got internet! which was last christmas! im not judging or anything, but i just found it interesting!

I got a yamaha for christmas and after 1/4 hour of playing the chords were ok but i had no inspiration or direction left until I discovered Marty (my best friend & teacher died just after buuying the 1st guitar)

for all of you who do not have a capo... you need these items;

1 rubber band and 1 pencil (the wood kind)

place the pencil on the fret you want capo'd

stick one end of the pencil through the rubber band

wrap the rubber band around the back of the guitar's neck and over the other side of the pencil, repeat this step till tightly fastened and hook the remainder of the rubber band on the pencil.

i have been using this while on my deployment for the last six months since my capo broke.

@TheMrAsianK it changes the key of the guitar david, like if you put a capo on the second fret it would up the key a whole step. so if you were 2 play a open G chord w/ the capo on the second fret it would be playing an A chord. understand?
