I have to disagree a little bit on some issues. When I was growing up, I was the oldest male in my house along with 2 little brothers and my mom in a tiny ass apartment. I naturally assumed the role of the protector, taught my brothers how to read, how to count, how to fight if they got jumped at school, brought home money for food through my bootlegging hustle from age 8-17, and basically made sure our home did not fall apart. Had I not pulled my weight, we'd have ended up on the street.

Too many boys lingering around the streets cause mothers in particular living to this standard that boys will be boys. If i have boys I am going to be hard on them. I want them to be respectful and grow up to be nice and honest. Now if they go astray after there isnt much i can do with that but once i know I do my part I am happy.

I totally agree with you on this!! I raised my 3 sons as if they were in boot camp and all 3 are out on their own, have good jobs and no babies!! None have been in jail and they are so grateful for their upbringing because a lot of their friends are either in jail or in the grave. You really spoke the truth on this subject. Women need to really hear this, your sons are not your boyfriends or husbands!!
