Great acceptance speech. I hate all other acceptance speeches when winning actor/-ess can't say anything else except trite phrases "That's fantastic', "I wasn't expected it" or something similar. All actors should learn how you must speak acceptance speeches. Without annoying, trite phrases.

I saw the Kings Speech and it was a good performance. But then I saw Bietiful (Javier Bardem), and 127 Hours (James Franco). They were also good performances. The academy already made up their mind but I really think this one should of gone to James Franco for 127 Hours. He had to do acting in the movie with out sharing dialouge through the rest of the movie. If you had to include the video camera.

Why are there so many anti-Colin Firth comments here? It was Colin Firth's year, like it or not. If you really want evidence, check out the number of awards he ended up winning for this role. Even before the film premiered, when I came to know what the film was about, I had a strong feeling that he would clean up all the awards, which he did. If you hate The King's Speech, fine, but don't anything away from what Firth did. As for Franco and Eisenberg, they'll get nominated again, don't worry.
