Brody was respected by everyone. Invader is a murderer, according to Tony Atlas' story it was premeditated. You can see right here on Youtube Invader talking about Brody way after he killed him. I have been living in PR for the past 10 years and honestly, it doesn't surprises me that an act like this would happen. Carlos Colon and Jose Gonzales used to have friends in high places, and that's why the investigation was poorly done. The problem was that most of the wrestlers that surrounded him that night at one time another Brody had kicked all their asses in the ring... for real.. My question is, why didn't Tony Atlas, Dutch Mantell, Dan Spivey or anyone else send depositions to the FBI or to the prosecutor? If the three had received threats or hints of threats, they definitely would have had the Feds protecting them and the prosecutor (who, I understand genuinely tried to convict Huertas-Gonzalez) could have had them testify & successfully convicted him.
Too many questions remain in this very sad affair. A definite black mark in pro wrestling.

I had always heard that Gonzalez was acquitted because Tony refused to testify at the trial, afraid he would no longer get booked in Puerto Rico. Then he wound up boycotting the league anyway. Jeesh. Gonzalez was acquitted too quickly all because of his claims of self-defense being accepted because the wrestlers who wanted to show up couldn't due to the delayed subpoenas (which you could argue in support of the conspiracy against Bruiser).

Brody was respected by everyone. Invader is a murderer, according to Tony Atlas' story it was premeditated. You can see right here on Youtube Invader talking about Brody way after he killed him. Its in Spanish but he has to live with it everyday killing not 1 but 2 people. Tony Atlas is still trying to make sense of it in the interview you just watched just look at his face.

@ggblueam Many didn't. Ric Flair remarked in his book that following the murder that none of the Mid-Atlantic wrestlers would work in Puerto rico again. I don't know about WWF wrestlers.

Why didn't say all this at the trial? Oh yea that's right it's because he REFUSED to testify and TONY ATLAS was there along with half a dozen other ppl. Why hasn't he helped his family with closure? This man has not earned ANY respect. It's been over 20 yrs and now he has something to say? NOT COOL!!!

All this yet Tony REFUSED to testify at the murder trial and he along with other wrestlers that were there knows Jose Gonzalez is guilty. Now all of a sudden u got so much to say? Oh please, give me a break. Some of u may be able to respect Tony but not me. Bruiser's family has yet to get closure.

As far as "closure" goes, THERE IS NEVER ANY "CLOSURE" WHEN A LOVED ONE GETS MURDERED!! I hate that fucking overused, meaningless word
