@miksulder Actually, the Aurora Borealis is caused by collisions between gas particles in the Earth's atmosphere, and the charged particles released from the sun. Not god. Because there is no God.
@jdogame12 In the sun, the heat moves to the surface, and creates magnetic fields from the charged gas. Sometimes, the magnetic fields push through the surface. The charged gas is plasma. So the plasma pulls the field farther out, then the magnetic field breaks off the sun. The plasma flies through space. Eventually, it hits Earth. The Earth's magnetic fields deflect it. The magnetic fields fuse, and it creates a funnel that directs it towards the poles. This is where the Borealis comes from.
We were shown this in my physics class. Best physics lesson ever.
