Sciatica is sort of a generic (all-in-one) term. When something may be happening to the sciatic nerve that goes through your spine they call it sciatica. I have it and it is due to a bulging dics in my back. It could be caused by any number of things though... so yeah...it may not be a huge deal. It could only be a tight muscle.
