That was on the actual SMBZ opening, so I had assumed that it was created by Alvin-Earthworm, but I haven't played Marvel vs Capcom in a long time. He's used things from other series before (I know he used a Megaman theme and I seem to recall Mecha Sonic using Samus' missiles), so it might be.

Have you seen the latest episode preview? It has 3D in it. Not just sprites that look 3D, but an actual 3D model of Bowser's ship, and I'm willing to bet that Alvin is going to get even more 3D as the series goes on. Saying, 'Its meant to be 2D' is like saying, "Zelda is meant to be 2D, Ocarina of Time messed it up."
