I didn't know there was video of this. I just remember looking north while driving down Atlantic Blvd and seeing the smoke rise into the air. Scary stuff.
Imagine if this happened near, say, New York City. A mushroom cloud- followed by a sonic boom and the immense pressure wave- rising behind the skyscrapers is seen by billions around the world, all fearing the worst.
The chaos and pandemonium, just due to misinterpretation, would be staggering, if not biblical. Like 9/11 on steroids.
@TourettesSomething you are really thinking this was waaaaaayyyyyy bigger than it was.... I live right across the river from this place. It was cool to watch though.....
i still remember this like it was yesterday. the place my husband works is right across the street. they heard a hissing noise, looked at each other like "wtf", and the next thing they knew they were picking themselves up off the floor, trying to dodge all the crap that was falling all around them, listening to explosion after explosion.
My grandmother owns the company right next door to that place! One of her workers vans got smacked in the side by a big piece of metal. There was shrapnel everywhere. O.o
I was napping while this happened, my brother was on the computer, and I woke up to him screaming "OMG WAKE UP LIKE THERE WAS A HUGE EXPLOSION AND THE WALLS LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE COMING IN AND STUFF IM GOING TO CALL MOM"
I live about 5 mile away from where this occured and when it happened I just knew something had exploded it was so loud!! never heard anything like it....My heart goes out to those who lost their lives in that tragedy...
your a lying sack of shit i wish it was you who died instead of the innocent people. i live about 10 miles away but i was at work. anyways rot in hell you lying sack of shit!
yall dont know nothing a man down my road was in it and he lost his life and left behind 2 kids and his wife and he was really young i live in north jacksonville right down the road from the t2 lab remains
