What time was this documentary made? In the late 80s/early 90s? Because Adrienne King looks really young and hot here! And she is about 50 years old now!
@weirdscience85 Did you not read my first comment? I love the first five Friday the 13th movies, especially because of the unique and original soundtracks!
I have never seen the move Friday the 13th & probably would have chewed my fingers to the bone as I did when I saw the movie Jaws had I seen it. Anyway, I don’t believe I missed much in that department of frightening myself out of my wits; however, I can say that I truly enjoy watching the making of a movie & the commentaries from the people involved. This for me is the best part of any movie. giovanni
@peterguit I totally agree, well, it is of course a mixture of story and music, but if the music in a horror film is poor you can forget it right away, poor music is unexpetable. I totally dislike a lot of the modern horror film music which is often very pompous and orchestral (like in SCREAM). I love low strings and other simple effects. That's what sets the mood. Also the pounding imitating the human heart beat is often used. A very interesting field to study...
@syncrow76 I actually dislike most soundtracks nowadays. I recently read an interview with the late great John Barry in which he said he felt the same. He felt soundtracks were no longer an integrated part of most movies like they used to be in the past. Just last week I heard the main theme of Mysterious Island (1973) here on Youtube and it made me realize again just how great some movie music used to be. Maybe I'm just getting older....
It was nice of them to admit they just ripped of John Carpenter's halloween.
