There's nothing wrong with KO cubes, fuck V-cube and they're little cocksucking patent, i have a 7x7x7 knock off and it's better than any v-cibe i've ever felt, who gives a flying fuck, anyway? If knock off companies can make the cube better and get it to me for less money(Which they do) Then i'm all for it.
I see the point of both sides, but I think I'll say this...
Diy's may be knock-offs of the rubiks brand, and the maru 4x4 may be a knock-off of v-cube design, but they sure are a hell of a lot better than the originals.
@0624steven Yeah, you're right. Yummy yummy pbj IS a fag. I'm glad you know that. Either that, or you're just too stupid and/or young to realize what I was doing or talking about.
@0624steven - Hahahaha, dude, you might as well just give up. You're not making any sense now. You're apparently too stupid to understand anything I was doing in this video. Go play guitar hero or something.
ok i can't help to say but this video made me laugh. a lot. I also want to point out that v-cubes don't infringe the rubik's patent right. if you haven't noticed, v-cubes patented their own cubes. The only way that v-cube would be able to get a pattent would be if it doesn't infringe any other patents. therefore, v-cubes are 100% legal.
@yummyyummypbj - My point with that was that they are still not an "original" idea. No matter if they infringe on the actual patent, mech, whatever, any of it, it's still copying the exact same idea. In the end, it all just doesn't matter. I say enjoy whatever puzzle you want. I love the Maru 4x4, and it's a V cube copy, but I know, in the end, it will be better than the V4, so I don't really care if V cubes get to release that clicky garbage. Their 3x3 probably won't be much better.
I hate that people say 'the patent expired'' but just because the patent expired doesn't stop the puzzle being a KO. If I made something unique and the patent expired I would still want SOME royalties from big companies for stocking MY creation. I have a shit load of KOs! :P
@UKSpeedCuber But it's true. Rubik's was allowed to have no mechanism copies of their product until their patent expired. When it expired it was allowed to have competitors with their products, thus allowing "knockoffs" only AFTER the patent expires.
@esquimalt1 I know, but... People only seem to care as far as it's legally considered. Just because it's now legal to copy it, it's still stealing a concept.
@UKSpeedCuber I see what you're saying. But then again Rubik's has sold over a hundred million cubes. :P But yeah it does make sense what you're saying.
@esquimalt1 Haha, but... I actually don't care about KOs... I use them, I buy them, I've solvd them... It doesn't bother me. Just annoys the crap out of me when people think they're right when it's just a matter of morals and opinion and they force there supposedly correct opinion upon me.
@michael123425 - No, I'm fighting for the people who use KO cubes. If you watch Cam cubers video about it, then watch yummyyummypbj's video against it, you'll understand.

So I'll stick with knock offs.

That shirt you are wearing is a copy because it is a piece of cloth that you wear, so its a copy of the shirt invented 2000 years ago.
