ive been playn mortal kombat since the 1st game was released but im still crap at it lol but in my honest opinion you only need to press select none of that down shit or if timed right crap.. u will just see him poke his head clearly and then u just press select, if u havent played it as much then this should help you.. hope people find this useful

Hell yea! I was playing as Ermac and I Just beat him. It gives you 2000 Koins when you beat him and you don't have to fight the person that was normally on the ladder in my case it was Jade.

@squatedonbytheTOOK it took me bout 20 min. and i also saw him multiple times without out it working( 3 times i think) and then on the 4th instead of being on the left side (where you start) I jumped over my opponent and did it on the right side and it worked. Not sure if that really matters or not but it worked for me.

i didnt really like what they did with smokes character in this game, he seemed kinda weak in both the story and the gameplay but having this secret makes up for it a great deal, i just wish there was a way to play as that costume on ps3
