Years ago around 1969 some born again Christians or Jesus freaks told me that environmentalism is a sin because thats loving the earth, instead of loving God. I was told by the same people that God gave the earth to Satan. As a result, I started to not bother about the environment. I became apathetic. I won't listen to the Christians again. I think the Jesus Camp Christians are doing the same thing. Don't listen to them.

Have u heard of "Creation Care?" I heard about it on TV. It's a group of Christians who believe that we should take care of creation. I hope that this movement grows. Why would one trash God's creation?

Problem IS that Earthday is just one day. Thanks to the Youngtubers, the interest has been extended. I myself have blinked and missed most of them. It does not have the same attention as Christmas. It should.

Christmas is on EVERY calendar. This Christmas is being planned now by those who profit from it.

Earthday is on SOME calendars. The Youngtubers have extended the interest of Earthday.

Rivers Day is on NO calendars. Rivers Day is in September. I don't want to blink and miss it.

28th annual BC Rivers Day is scheduled for September 30, 2007. Maybe it could be Rivers Day everywhere else too.

I love your challenge... You make a great point. Driving is not so much the problem. The problem is what you drive. My parents want to get a plug-in hybrid which runs on electricity over 60 percent of the time and gets 125 mpg. You can still use the drive thru and you won't be burning gas. You can even use solar energy to recharge your batteries.
