Leafs have the worst fans in the nhl. They are so fucking stupid. Raycroft had 40 wins for them in a season yet they still thought he was shit. Now we have to hear how Reimer is the next Brodeur.

Toskala outshines Raycroft, looks to be the next best thing for Toronto, lets in some weak goals, bring the hammer down on him. Giguere comes in and is sharp, Gustavsson looks promising. Following year, Giguere sucks he shouldn't be our head goalie, Gustavsson needs more work before hes ready to play again, hey this Reimer kid is amazing! Reimer next year?

@CJDUBstang I'm a Devils fan, last year saw them in 5 different cities. I hate the NBA as well. Raycroft won 37 games and got the Leafs to within a day of making the playoffs (and yes it was us that fucked you over by losing to the Isles)

Goaltending couldn't even begin to save the leafs, I'm sorry to say. I'm glad that Raycroft is back to his old self though, and hopefully Burke can do something good with Phaneuf.

remember though raycroft was still the starter when vesa came in. he didn't play as well as he did the year before so they gave the starting job to vesa.

Actually I can. In 06-07 we missed the playoffs by 1 point, if we had even AVERAGE or slightly BELOW AVERAGE goaltending we would have been in. Last season he was even more pathetic, 2-9-5 with a .876 sv % and a GAA OVER 3. He cost us games with his pathetic backup performance and since he was so terrible we were forced to play Toskala more. The Leafs regularly outshot teams last season while being middle of the pack in terms of shots allowed. Thanks for your misinformed opinion though.
No problem, but just don't be surprised when you tank again this year, and you won't have "Redlight Raycroft" to blame for it. Maybe then your organization will have to address the real, fundamental issues with your hockey club and you can get back to being the interesting, competitive team you were ten years ago.
Where did I say we wouldn't do badly this season? At least we have young guys playing, Schenn, Stralman, Tlusty, Kulemin to name a few and perhaps our best in Pogge is progressing as well. So actually they have a gone a long way to addressing those issues, and we will be competitive in a season or two. It doesn't change the fact that Raycroft was absolutely horrible and if he wasn't with us we DEFINITELY would have made it in 06-07 and probably last season too.
No doubt, especially the Woz... he was almost as bad as Raysoft but as a starting goaltender or even backup he had a way bigger impact on the outcome than Woz did. But other than him, overall the defense was underrated (nothing special but not as terrible as ppl think) considering how bad the goaltending was and we still almost made the playoffs. I am so glad both of them are gone though.
This is the stuff people should think about when talking about raycroft, they treat him like crap and when he's having a game he can make some amazing saves. Cut him some slack.
Raycroft was overrated when he played for boston leafs should trade him to like panthers or some other team clemmenson is much better then raycroft, Plus raycroft said he doesn't watch hockey maybe he should because he can see how real goalies play.

raycroft came off a bad season in boston and we played him 72 games. Thats way too much, only goalies like luongo and brodeur can play that much. I remember lost of games where he looked tired. He plays the right number of games this season, i think he can be very effective.

Last season he was even more pathetic, 2-9-5 with a .876 sv % and a GAA OVER 3. He cost us games with his pathetic backup performance and since he was so terrible we were forced to play Toskala more. The Leafs regularly outshot teams last season while being middle of the pack in terms of shots allowed. Thanks for your misinformed opinion though.

No problem, but just don't be surprised when you tank again this year, and you won't have "Redlight Raycroft" to blame for it. Maybe then your organization will have to address the real, fundamental issues with your hockey club and you can get back to being the interesting, competitive team you were ten years ago.

Where did I say we wouldn't do badly this season? At least we have young guys playing, Schenn, Stralman, Tlusty, Kulemin to name a few and perhaps our best in Pogge is progressing as well. So actually they have a gone a long way to addressing those issues, and we will be competitive in a season or two. It doesn't change the fact that Raycroft was absolutely horrible and if he wasn't with us we DEFINITELY would have made it in 06-07 and probably last season too.

No doubt, especially the Woz... he was almost as bad as Raysoft but as a starting goaltender or even backup he had a way bigger impact on the outcome than Woz did. But other than him, overall the defense was underrated (nothing special but not as terrible as ppl think) considering how bad the goaltending was and we still almost made the playoffs. I am so glad both of them are gone though.

Raycroft was overrated when he played for boston leafs should trade him to like panthers or some other team clemmenson is much better then raycroft, Plus raycroft said he doesn't watch hockey maybe he should because he can see how real goalies play.

razor has proven so far this year that he can be a great goaltender, and that he is not going to give up the number 1 position without a fight. Raycroft has outplayed toskala so far this year just look at there save percentages and there GAA. GO LEAFS GO!! GO RAZOR GO <3!!!

i think this can be his rebound season, i no he lets in like 3 gaols a game this season but thats the d's fault, look at the saves he made against buffalo and Ottawa it means he wants the starting position, so hes gonna try harder

raycroft came off a bad season in boston and we played him 72 games. Thats way too much, only goalies like luongo and brodeur can play that much. I remember lost of games where he looked tired. He plays the right number of games this season, i think he can be very effective.
