Jack seeks her out because the trompet he talk's about at the end of part 4 that might be Tritons Trompet which is actually a conch shell Triton is a Seagod merman you probably remember him as Arials father in the little mermaid.

And since we've allready seen his sword(The One Blackbeard and later Barbosa use to controll Queen Mary's revenge with) it would only seem logical to do so.

But anyway i don't know about you, but i think that this film is far better than the last to:)!

The fish part is weird because how the heck can u have sex with a mermaid without the vagina or any other hole. But I read a Behind the scenes article and it said that if a mermaid kisses somebody, they can breath underwater and Syrena kissed Philip and then dragged him underwater. That is how she saved him. the screen time between philip and syrena (together) is no longer than 10 min, yet their mini-plot  was the MOST interesting thing about the movie..

I can honestly say that the rest of the movie, except for this mini romance, was just totally boring, trite, cheesy, predictable...

This mermaid romance was what had me anxious for knowing what was next between them in the movie..

I'm not trying to sound like a know-it-all but philip will not become some merman thing..and he cant breathe under water forever. When you get a kiss from a mermaid it lets you breathe under water but only for a few minutes not for the rest of your life. So at the end when they swim away there is a circle of light and she is taking him away from all the madness so he can be healed.
