I'm pleased that you enjoyed it. I have a version by the Barron Knights on a 1970s or 80s cassette, which I listened to as a child, so I was surprised to find this vintage version in a box of old 78s!

very neat looking record label and sleeve,we had woolworths in the states but as far

as i recall they never sold their own records?was the uk woolworths connected to

ours?

I believe that the US and British Woolworths started out as the same company (By F.W.Woolworth), but the British company separated from the American one at some point. Woolworths in the UK sadly went bust in 2008 and the shops closed down at the beginning of 2009, although the name was bought by another company which uses it as an online shop.
