di55illu5ioned is absolutely correct. I also seal up ALL the cracks (where the baseboard touches the floor, etc.) with sealing foam you can buy from the local home depot. And sprinkle Boric acid in any other tight space. Just remember to re-sprinkle it every 6 months or so, since Boric acid breaks down to more inert powder.

Always comes down to MONEY! Boric acid like in ant powder works(DO KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS!), also, try and keep the moisture content down. ie; boiling, steaming foods etc. Try to kepp Dandruff and skin particles to a minimum also flour and suchlike in the kitchen.

You can buy trap but you really have to go whole hog and get to the source and breeding grounds to get rid of eggs etc!
