  • The lyrics to this song are about the singer's girlfriend. She killed herself by throwing herself in front of a train after the singer broker up with her. A train whistle was in the original mix but it got compressed; you can still hear bits if you strain.

  • I remember playing this for the first time to my Mrs when I was in Japan, and no lie she came into the living room with a bag or clementines when this was playing, I thought that was funny, she had no idea why I was laughing. She likes Can now :)

  • yea but this is not utter shit

  • I cannot believe this song was made so long ago...it sounds like something that would come out today.

  • HEY YOU

  • So Much Funk....

  • love this song

  • I had no idea about this band until about an hour ago. I feel a caveman that is handed the keys to a spaceship. These guys are incredible.

  • @mumdangerous

welcome to the early stone age

    transfered into the rocket age!

  • @mumdangerous That comment is incredible! I love your caveman/spaceship analogy.

  • @mumdangerous

Same here, found about the in Wikipedia an hour ago

  • "citric"aly plodder aplauding x

  • B boy tune!

  • Very few drummers are as tight, loose and damned funky as Jaki.

  • You're losing your Pregnancy!

  • you can chuck this sog in the can!!

  • Sounds like a 24k Black song

  • Can permeates your entire body. Can makes me feel stoned.

  • Is this the bassline from the Kieth Murray track "Herb is Pumpin"?? Kinda' sounds like it.

  • I just had an eargasm

  • Superbes percussions !!!

  • This song, Moonshake and Don't Turn the Light on, Leave Me Alone are GREATS! And i CAN't understand... WHY!!!! I think that in this song the drums, the ritm, are very stimolating. But the others two songs i CAN't explain why are so GREATS for my mind...

  • Just took a Vitamin C pill.

  • What a rip of of radiohead. I mean they clearly got their whole style from radiohead. Thom Yorke Invented music. Just kidding I know CAN influenced radiohead hahahahaha

  • ege bamyası:D it is turkish

  • @WhiteFocks If it's a label owned by a group like warner or sony then yeah the corporation can go fuck itself most of the time. But if it's an indie label (who actually, instead of just releasing music by musicians nobody has heard of also release music from the likes of white stripes and placebo) then they're not exploiting the musician because they can't afford to, and don't have the financial backing of big groups like warner. Indie labels do a good job of financing bands, they deserve credit

  • what are the lyrics to this song, all the lyric sites seem wrong to me..

  • @Danbenford Damo's lyrics don't consist of words...more like word-shaped objects.

One of the many reasons why he is awesome.

  • this song is sex - chad

  • Check out Mark E Smith's tribute to CAN on 1984's The Wonderful and Frightening World of the Fall....."I am Damo Suzuki"

  • @mapple432 The Fall tribute track is actually on 1985's "This Nation's Saving Grace"

  • About Can, this is the first song of them I've listen to, I found about it because I was bboying at the time and there were some DJs using it as breakbeat, the second time was while I was listening to Radiohead, their cover of "The Thief" blew me away, but it's funny how I always end up falling in love with a Can song even though I only know those two songs. I should check out more of their songs.

  • 1972 obviously rocked more than i knew..as a one year old! This coulda been produced today ;) Loving it!

  • SHE IS EH STEPPIN ON A QUICK SAND!!!

  • @leisurelydinner fuck yourself you unappreciative of quality music listens to whatever the media and hit radio pushes upon you go with the flow of the masses type idiot -- all others, enjoy this quality masterpiece

  • @SUPEROBSCUREBEATS beyonce ftw

  • shit in your brain

  • @leisurelydinner lol ya it only went on to influence RADIOHEAD and just about every other shit act that isn't Radiohead. Fuck you nigga, do your homework.

  • @FondlingReply it was a joke dude, i thought beyonce ftw was a dead giveaway? guess not

  • @leisurelydinner No, YOU blew it by taking ME seriously. Not everyone is that pretentious, ha ha.

  • @FondlingReply pay that

  • @leisurelydinner Tried to keep it whimsical with the Radiohead name drop (pretentious yes?) and by tellin' a nigga to do his homework. Kids these days...

  • toso ma tooosooo yperoxo! I LOVE IT!

  • I would give anything to have all the discs i ever owned back. In high school i had all the Can discs but i eventually sold them back to the record store for cash to buy...illicit substances. Ah, the folly of youth.

  • the snear sounds sick! idky but i love how it sounds

  • i need my vitamin C

  • magic of Can

  • thumps up :)

  • This is one of the best drum tracks ever.

  • @SonOfYoungwood that is so f.. true!

  • @SonOfYoungwood and bass!!!!

  • @SonOfYoungwood it's mad easy. but the sound is great.

  • Oh shit I need to get to the store and buy some vitamin C packets FAST!!!

  • Boy, that gook sure can sing

  • @mharrin5507 "Gook" is a racial slur for Koreans. The singer of Can at the period, was Japanese. So, technically, a "nip" or "jap". At least get your slurs right.

  • YeHaaa is great

  • Hey you,

    You’re losing, you’re losing, you’re losing, you’re losing your vitamin C.

    Hey you,

    You’re losing, you’re losing, you’re losing, you’re losing your vitamin C,

    Your vitamin C

    Great track!

  • Thumbs Up if Bboy cloud Campos trailer gets you here...

  • Don't lose your vitamin C! If you Can.

  • @mrallcz ...ok

  • Orange

  • got this shit on vinyl the other day.

the best part: I DON'T OWN A RECORD PLAYER (yet).

    FLAWLESS VICTORY

  • @ofarevolution441 Dude, exact same thing happened to me flawless victory indeed!

  • @WeedMasterZoooom Dobry motyw z tym :]

  • Nicole Atkins covered this last fall ('10) as a b-side on her 'Vultures' 7" - respectable job of it, but....

  • Its a can.

  • what differs Can here from those myriads of bands you mentioned here, that prog rock pompous shit is that Can knew the value of funk, the value of down-to-earth groove, they listened to James Brown, go to hell with your Yes and alike, only respect for early Pink Floyd and Soft Machine

  • @borchabronx

People who dislike prog rock are generally terrible people.

  • @borchabronx Music is music. You shouldn't treat music like social-political factions and use them as "hip weapons". Stop with the "My dad is better than your dad" type thing.

  • @Hugehugo912 -

Gentle Giant - the first 8 LP records until 1976

  • For years I thought he was saying, "you're losing your sexy" I guess it's "losing your vitamin c" which could be worse.

  • @jenlucgodard it is vitamin c ofcourse

  • POE - Ty znasz ten stan PEACE:)

  • @SMYKziom POE <3

  • @SMYKziom dobrze ze znamy klasyki :)

  • Jaki Motherfucking Liebezeit.

  • Coolest album art ever?

  • Ege Bamyasi - best Can ever

  • @r3t0dd Yeah, I like King Crimson. The drummer's amazing. Larks Tongue in aspic is my particular favorite album. Thanks to everyone who's replied to me. It is great to discover new (in the saway of I haven't heard of them) bands!

  • l@,@l

  • I heard this song as a sample on the K.L.F.'s Chillout album just this year!. This song is old but I love it!

  • Just got into can and love this song. Does anyone else know any other obscure 70s prog rock band. Been trying to get into prog big time, but im afraid that until recently my knowledge of PR has been limited to Pink Floyd. Any ideas, anyone?

  • @Hugehugo912:

Supertramp, Yes, King Crimson, Queen, Rush.

  • @Hugehugo912 and early Genesis are unbelievable.

  • @Hugehugo912

Check out Brain recordings for "German" rock. or what about this nugget: Edgar Froese: Detroit Snackbar

  • @Hugehugo912 Check out Gong, particularly their 'Angel's Egg' album. Also Amon Duul II's 'Wolf City' album. I assume you've already heard King Crimson's 'Court of the Crimson King.'

  • Still AWSOME, after all these years!

  • where can i download this song???

  • @mgdr4066 I know exactly where! You can go down to your local record store, purchase a copy of the record from a music guru, who people will call "snobby" because he's bitter from getting paid less than minimum wage, then go home and put on a nice pair of headphones and sit in the knowledge that, even though the system is completely f*cked up beyond recognition, you financially supported a musician and an industry. Or mediafire should do it.

  • @Hartsteves

word. But mostly that recordstoreowner is a friendly dude, who even though has less customers then before cause of people's fastfood mentality, still is cool, cause he does what he loves. And when you buy a record, he gives you some free knowledge on some obscure stuff, hell even without buying a record. Or rapidshare that bitch.

  • @charlyblues

That dood was my friend. Sad passing of yet another era,

set aside by technology and time.

  • @Hartsteves How do you get paid less than minimum wage if the wage is minimum?

  • @ShadowCrashed81 Glad you asked. A most relevant example of someone being paid less than minimum wage is something in retail called "piece-work." In this scenario you should be paid %120 of minimum wage per hour if you are selling product, which means your income is dependent on customers rather than hours working. Hope that answered your question, and if it was mocking get out of your house and learn that law and practice are separate entities you dipshit.

  • @Hartsteves But if I wanted to learn, why would I leave my house? My computer is at my house.

  • @ShadowCrashed81 Point taken.

  • @Hartsteves Actually, if you're buying it from the record store and getting it on vinyl, chances are you're only supporting the store. And if he acts snobby, it's probably because he *is* a snob, having earned it over the course of many long hours selling music. ;)

  • @Hartsteves Downloading is the future. Get over it.

Can have already sold twelve albums. They have money. They aren't the ones who need financial support.

  • @MyNameIsNeutron

I do think that's what he was saying.....

  • @MyNameIsNeutron They've sold 12 albums? That's like 1 per release! Poor guys :(

  • @perleatsworld I meant to say they RECORDED twelve albums.

  • @Hartsteves i friended you for liking Can, and for this post.

  • @mgdr4066 i-tunes store

  • @mgdr4066

go to a fuckin record store and buy the vinyl.

  • =)hey you
