He also dated Beatrice Hasting, the english poetess, she sustained him for awhile,it didn't last.On the day of his funeral his wife was so grieve strickened that she threw herself off a fifth floor window ending her own life.He was borned in Leghorn of a jewish family, son of a ruined jewish banker, his mother the widow sent him to study at studios in florence and venice and later on in 1906 to paris. He worked most at Kisling's studio and Zborowski's studio toward the end...
he painted also renoir .. gee modigliani was a GENIOOOO .. I wonder how would I look like if Modi would have painted me lol.. definetaly a lot better ha ha
I know what you mean ... but he might painted like that because all of his drunk nigts and drugs he took .. It might have been the way he pictured people in an intoxicated condition .. but it is still him .. and I love his work .. weird thing he did not go for immpresionism lol .. and picasso took another way ..
Amedeo along with Michelangelo is one of the reasons I began my studies in Fine Art at Concordia University. To paint for the passion which burns within you!!! Unknown, unloved, yet with the full knoledge of your genius. His life's torment, poetry, unframed vision and amazing legacy. Thank you Dedo!!!!!!
Beautiful music appropriate for the superb art of an ephemeral painter that left an immaculate legacy to mankind.

Modiglianis elongated forms, now so familiar and beloved, were neglected during his lifetime. Great video & song! Thank you!

Yes, he had lots of friends in Paris and painted most of them. What a pity he didn't last longer. Think of the wonders we might have seen.
