I have nothing against Lana and Clark... I actually thought they were cute together... but why does Lana get the romantic, Ice homeland proposal and Lois got the proposal in the middle of the street by the telephone booth where her and "The Blur" talked, with flower petals coming down? I mean it's still romantic, just that Lana got all the best parts of everything really, just like Clark telling them both the secrets, Lana's reveal was more in depth I guess... Hmmm/???
@3rit3rat006 I really do not know. But the truth is, the show was never intended to be about the adult Superman and Lois Lane. The point of the show originally was a new reboot of the younger years of Clark Kent and his love affair with Lana Lang. In fact, Lana Lang,(Kristen Kreuk) was hired even before Tom Welling, and had she not had chemistry with him, Tom would NOT have been Clark Kent on Smallville. By the time Lois arrived, the creative force was dead in SV.

Clark was so devastated that he found a way to go back in time and save Lana. Unfortunately, his father died in place of Lana, and Clark was so grief stricken that he didn't tell Lana the truth again for several years.

That is one of those U-turn tease episodes where at the beginning the viewer gets teased
that finaly something REALY changes between them for the better and a couple minutes in
or at least at the end its all in shambles again. They did this a several times throughout the
series and even the final episode with Lana Lang is of this kind. Its realy bad over time what
they did. However their "happy moments" are realy great together.
