I equipped the ring of magical sharpness. Stayed on the middle floor, ran circles around him and spammed his head with soul arrows. He couldn't keep up with me running around, however he managed to hit me 3 times or so...
I went to this world immediately after killing the tower knight (the guy i summoned killed it) and accidently skipped the middle fog, i rolled off the top of one of the towers to get that ring and couldn't go back to the beginning, i ended up at the boss with 20k souls, the most i'd ever had, then went in and got stuck in a loop of getting hit by his tounge, to beat him just jump down to the ground floor and beat on him, make sure you get down asap if you plan to melee
I got to this bastard with about 10% of my health left. I was all freaked out because I had actually managed to fight and beat 2 bosses prior to this guy on the same day, in the same sitting. I REALLY didn't wanna start dying now. So I end up dying, blazing through the stage again ignoring everything and get to him, get my souls, and just soul arrow/flame arrow him to death. He's pretty easy to stay safe from, and I think even phalanx gave me a harder time than he did.

@undertaker49999 you have to first take the red hot demon soul (flamelurker) to blacksmith ed then take the swollen soul and a wooden club to him and he will forge it

Time to make that meat cleaver! I love watching the videos where this guy uses fluted armor and a long sword... he still always makes bosses look easy, its down to earth and cool... not very comforting to see someone rape a boss with a Dragon Bone Smasher and a Tower Shield...

@101SuperJoker Dont' take stairs. Jump down, and get the items afterwards. If you can't take a fall that high, then you're fucked. You should be able to, though. Stairs are pretty much pointless.
@101SuperJoker one must not accept the ways of Demon's Souls as possible, one must only accept it as necessary... O_o
But what i do when fighting it is run down to ground level as quickly as possible and get directly behind it when i need to heal, it's really slow to turn and it's cleaver attack is insanely easy to dodge :P

@StuartieBlokeable When you press "Load Game" at the beginning, does it say something like "Connecting to Demon Souls server..." or "Failed to connect to..." whatever? If all the online features are disabled, then you must be offline, and the simplest way to know that is by looking at what the game tells you.
@Anonymous738 When i go on load game it says connecting 2 servers then it brings up all the things u can do in multiplayer like leave messages and things then i get into the game
@StuartieBlokeable Then that means you are connected, hmm... must be something wrong with your server, sorry, I don't know much about that, but if your load screen says what it does, then it must be mean that your internet connection is okay and you have the latest patch, I'm afraid I don't really know why you can't type messages, sorry about that.
@StuartieBlokeable Damn... sorry to hear that, you should try that soul farming method that give you tens of thousands of souls per run, and this farming methods only works offline, just to tell you.
@StuartieBlokeable if the ring was the 'Ring of Avarice' from the Tower of Latria.. Dont Buy it!!! You can find one pretty early on and the effects dont stack,

@ohmydoddtv really because i tried that and i diddent really like it even though it had a fragment ring and im really into magic but also close quater so i just settled with the wonderer and that seems to be working good as soon as i get the souls arrow

Like with most biggies, run in the direction of their weapon while they swing (often their right-arm). They'll completely miss, especially if you dodge :)
Well, even in NG+ this boss is easy in that he is not lethal - he has no 1-hit KO attacks (unless if you're a mage and in NG+), his attack is easily dodgable, and he has no combo's - after his attack you have plenty of time to heal. Just make sure to watch out in NG+ (and this is for all bosses :P)
i found 4 - 1 very easy actually, the skeletons with katanas are no match for my great club if you have this weapon they die with just one swing (no double handed needed)

@ralphyboy1 you can learn back story by talking to different npcs, and reading the descriptions on some of the items/weapons, its not much but its there :P and ya that would be awesome :D would be cool if they made like a DLC where the broken giants of the north archestone gets fixed :D

@lemonsocksbob yah lol it isnt an argument i sware people on here need to get a life though i posted my opinion about borderlands on youtube once and i get hatemail everyday about it lol.
instead of using a brushwood shield (even though its defensive stats are pretty good) i would suggest using an adjunctator's sheild (since you dont block with the shield) this in combonation with a regeneration ring would give you a decent hp regeneration rate saving you some food (not much but some) and just take off the theif's ring (since its not much use in the fight) and just wield your wep with both hands since that would give better hits since you dont use the shield
He was using a Longsword, which the Knight class starts with. To hold an enchantment, it either has to be the basic form, Crushing, or Quality. The 'Magic Weapon' icon is just his equipped spell, used to temporarily enchant his Longsword.
Since he is taking hits from the Adjudicator without dying, and is using a Brushwood Shield, he appears to have buffed up his stats a fair amount. The shield needs 26 Strength to use proficiently.
@XoRandomGuyoX Many thanks for this. I am a fledgeling warrior at the moment and am getting my a** handed to me by this guy. I know now that it's less my combat skills, more my lower than high 20s physical stats. Demon's Souls rocks, albeit in a very brutal, horrible manner!

Well, even in NG+ this boss is easy in that he is not lethal - he has no 1-hit KO attacks (unless if you're a mage and in NG+), his attack is easily dodgable, and he has no combo's - after his attack you have plenty of time to heal. Just make sure to watch out in NG+ (and this is for all bosses :P)

you NEED to play much more conservatively than this on NG+. Adjudicator will take you out in one cleaver swipe.

i found 4 - 1 very easy actually, the skeletons with katanas are no match for my great club if you have this weapon they die with just one swing (no double handed needed)

@ralphyboy1 you can learn back story by talking to different npcs, and reading the descriptions on some of the items/weapons, its not much but its there :P and ya that would be awesome :D would be cool if they made like a DLC where the broken giants of the north archestone gets fixed :D

instead of using a brushwood shield (even though its defensive stats are pretty good) i would suggest using an adjunctator's sheild (since you dont block with the shield) this in combonation with a regeneration ring would give you a decent hp regeneration rate saving you some food (not much but some) and just take off the theif's ring (since its not much use in the fight) and just wield your wep with both hands since that would give better hits since you dont use the shield

Id like to know what sort of sword he/she was using. There was an interesting 'magic sword' icon in the upper spell slot.

He was using a Longsword, which the Knight class starts with. To hold an enchantment, it either has to be the basic form, Crushing, or Quality. The 'Magic Weapon' icon is just his equipped spell, used to temporarily enchant his Longsword.
Since he is taking hits from the Adjudicator without dying, and is using a Brushwood Shield, he appears to have buffed up his stats a fair amount. The shield needs 26 Strength to use proficiently.

@XoRandomGuyoX Many thanks for this. I am a fledgeling warrior at the moment and am getting my a** handed to me by this guy. I know now that it's less my combat skills, more my lower than high 20s physical stats. Demon's Souls rocks, albeit in a very brutal, horrible manner!
