  • Very Good !

  • Oh boy.... Good work, Man!!!

  • Aw' I hoped at the end he'd morph to an old Electone B4cr with the roll top steel grate cover and bust his knuckles.

  • Anyone that knows about electones

would you reccomend me buying this hs8 or a el-40 or el-60

  • almost has that 80's feel, nice job

  • Well done !!!

  • Great performance, brings back memories of the Electone festival days. Thanks for posting your video clip. I also have a HS8 which has had a lot of use in the past for 100s of weddings and other functions and still works well after 22 years but rarely gets played.

  • @Alvis1250 Since I've bought an FX-20, the HS-8 rarely gets played in the more. Had to store it in the basement.

  • I love how you combined the classic version with the 5th season version. VERY well done. Had a smile on my face throughout!

  • @JackHollywood Agreed. Like how it was meshed.

  • does any one no were i can buy a yamaha hs8 electone in brisbane

    thanx

  • Well, it's too bad I didn't find this two years ago. Anyway, it had me chuckling (because it just sounded neat and looked like you were having fun). Thanks.

  • As Sam would say..... OOOOOOHHHH BOOOOYYYY!

That was a great performance and you have swayed my mind into buying an HS8 next week, the choice was either to part ex my EL40 for an EL70, or get the HS8 straight out.....HS8 won!

I used to play that tune myself but my mind suddenly became swiss cheesed!

  • @3dsmaxmaster Good choice.

  • bit dated sound wise now, b ut must say you make it talk x anyone interested have one for sale

  • wow 23,500 pesos pretty expensive i only palyed an HS-5 in our church but it is now rest in piece, because it's been 15 years in our church

  • may i ask you? is HS-8 a beautiful organ? coz i'm looking for a new electone, my electone is EL-3, how much is your electone? i wiil convert in peso

  • HS-8 is not really an organ. It's an FM synthesizer that has its roots in the DX-7. It is very versatile, but most of its sounds are quite dated today (especially the rhythm unit). You can probably find a used HS-8 for around $500.

  • @Audioquest56 Yes, and good organs are timeless! Have 9 I play & they aren't all Hammond tone wheel either. An HS-8 sat on Craigslist for $125 here in Columbus for over a week. The supply of all musical instruments are greater than the demand. If you like the sound of a good old organ then you won't buy a new one that sounds any better than an old one, in fact they all sound worse. Hey' that's fine because the best organ design was perfected in the 1960's. Wurlitzer 4300 is A1 Morelock's 4 parts

  • I love it.. Great job!

  • supermarket sounds.......great stuff though.

  • lmao@ supermarket sounds !! you mean the tunes that come on those little speakers in the toliets ?? i thought that was a great performance audioquest nicely played ..

  • great!

  • Mike Post FTW

  • This is really good. My dad had this organ. He passed away a few days ago, and I will miss hearing him play it so much. He would have loved to see your performance too. People like you need to keep the sound of the HS-8 alive! :-)

  • I like it

  • Imagine someone sat down and wrote this - pure genius! Like the music of St. Elsewhere or Murder She Wrote, sticks in your mind cause it's quality!

  • That man is Mike Post!

  • The man in this video is not Mike Post, if that's what you mean. Mike Post is older and a little heavier than this guy.

  • grande:) good job!

  • Can this electone apply a delayed modulation effect on the lead voice?

    (00:16)

  • There is a delay effect on the HS-8.

  • thats cool :D

  • LOL VERY cool!

  • I love how you are totally "Jammin on the One" (I know different t.v. show but I think it fits)!

  • Bravo! Really fine stuff.

  • beautiful legendary organ

  • I'm totally going to rip the audio from this video and use it in a DVD menu for my "best of" disc with M.I.A., two choice selections (i'm not done yet watching season 3), and the last episode. I just got the series on DVD. Thanks!

  • Great Job!

  • Great sound, very well played :)

  • A wonderful performance, and great orchestration. I used to own a HS6 up until about 10 years ago. I moved from the UK to the US so had to sell it, my setup now is all modern keyboards and rackmount stuff.

There's still something about the old FM and (original) AWM sounds, always good to hear.

Keep up the great work :)

  • if quantum leap was camp! not bad though!
