@ilovblood I went to an alternative high school in a very liberal part of the country. We were allowed to bring whoever we wanted as our date to prom, and anyone was allowed to run for prom king or queen. We had a male prom queen one year. It did not "ruin" anyone's prom because no one saw the need to throw a fit over something so petty. If you're so sensitive that you can't handle having a male prom king, then you're not equipped to function in society.

I think its odd when someone doesn't want to be judged for being different yet they do shit to make themselves stand out as being different. @ilovblood I went to an alternative high school in a very liberal part of the country. We were allowed to bring whoever we wanted as our date to prom, and anyone was allowed to run for prom king or queen. We had a male prom queen one year. It did not "ruin" anyone's prom because no one saw the need to throw a fit over something so petty. If you're so sensitive that you can't handle having a male prom king, then you're not equipped to function in society.

As a gay man I think it's not the best choice to perpetuate the stereotypes that all gay men behave in a feminine manor. I think he could have just run for prom king and left prom queen to a teenage girl. I don't feel like its a big deal or that it deserves a ton of attention really. Lots of kids don't get what they want out of prom. It's just Prom, but the king will face scrutiny from people whether he does or doesn't dance with the queen. He's definitely being put in an awkward position to accomidate this kid's dream.

Sexuality is not sick, sorry to say. Nor is it a 'choice'. Sexuality is something that is ingrained in all humans, and is natural. Some people simply have a different sexuality than others, and so long as they do not bring harm to others, then what is wrong?
It's not to say you're not entitled to your opinion, but please don't force your narrow view onto others. That's all anyone should ask. :)
