  • its good to be a ble to do flips like front flips, side flips and stuff in the gym on pads/trampolines and stuff to get used to the flipping and tucking motion.

  • can anyone help me?

so when i do the front flip i get the rotation and stuff but i always land sideways idk why is that can anyone tell me how to fix that?

    thanks

  • my flex on my board isnt very good so when i tried this my front(nose) snapped and didnt give me any momentum and my back edge dug into the ground 3/4s of the way through and i got a minor concussion . What is a good board i should use?

  • I just tried front flips today. I can run on grass and do tamedog-like flips (Barrel rolls) easily. So I decided to try them on the mountain and on my snowboard. I tried it over a drop like this and I popped off my nose and just rotated sooooo slowly. I don't get why. I kept trying it and I was just rotating really slowly. I was landing mainly on my back, but sometimes I'd land on my back leg. I popped off my nose, grabbed behind my knees and really tucked. Still rotated slowly.. Got any tips???

  • somehow, its like 50% chance that I land switch lol... I always manage to land perfect frontflips in bigjumps but in knuckles, its just by chance I land it straight. More practice, I guess...

  • My board is not that flexible. Is this a problem. its flexibility i mean is not like yours ;o.

  • I have been working on my front flip but my tail keeps digging in the snow. Do I just need more speed? I have been doing it on somthing similar to your video.

  • man these are so sick i actually learnt them by buttering in the powder and exadently dug my nose in the snow and and i just flew up in the air and flipped so now im starting to flip off big cat tracks n shit i just sometimes forget to tuck up my legs and my tail will dig into the ground

  • saw some dude bury his nose in the ground and snapping his board doin this the other day.. not following that one up

  • I started out by sorta somersaulting or rolling over the jump, and then I got bigger as I went until I got it. It's very easy

  • would it be good for a guy with fractured skull to try this? :D

  • Ive landed this trick a few times but recently i have been screwing up and slowing my rotation like 3/4 of the way through any tips?

  • wow... that was honestly really easy thanks so much got it down

  • fucked up my spine as i tried them in the foampit first, was out only 2 weeks... now i got them :) suuuper fun !!

  • do you need a really flexible board???? to do this trick

  • Landed my first one yesterday night. I was so damn stoked dude.

  • i got it my third try! so i can take them off nuckles of jumps and off of small drops, but how do you do them off of boxes? is it the same as in the snow? I'm scared to slip when i go to pop any tips??

  • this tutorial is so nice!! :) thx i just tried the frontflip about 15 times ... then almost got it and..at last landed on my tail and broke it :D which board should i buy wich is flexible enough and not to expensive? my last board already had wood in it but still wasnt that flexible.. is wood even necesarry in the boards for flexibility? thanks.

  • Why the hell is everyone breaking their collarbone doing this?

  • i was tryin this off the knuckle of a 71 foot session jump in vail today. ya... i kinda hit my head. lol

  • Hahahaha you stupid faggot

  • i tried this yesterday and broke the tail off my board when it didn't flex enough.... im done for the season- short 440$ : ( now to try it on a rental

  • thank you, i'm now able to do it :D

  • thanks jeff, you taught me to dub tamedog, these are easy

  • he makes it sound so eazy

  • this hurts to learn

  • i would strongly recommend make a little power about 3 feet deep just to get the felling thats what i did and now im doing them at the local ski hill all the time thx

  • I have a couple questions about this trick. I tried it about 15 times the other day and i couldnt get it. I can get the flip but i always land on my butt or slid onto my back. Am i not popping enough? is the knuckle not steap enough? How fast should you be going?

  • 1 Person likes men, and it isn't me.

  • dislocated my sholder trying this went to the hospital got all drugged up and drove my ass right back out to the slopes thank god for vikaden

  • I was trying them today, it doesnt hurt when i fall, but i keep on landing 3/4 of the flip. My jumps a little small but im not rotating fast enough too: could the jump be the problem? Help me pleaseeeeeeeeee!!!!!

  • @TeamThreads

to rotate quicker , you have to pull down your arm as quickly as you can and immediatly after grab your legs

  • Did he ever fall his first time

  • Watched this video this morning, went boarding right after, and got the trick down! My landings are still sometimes sketch tho. Just find a nice lip, with some pow underneath so you have a soft landing, and practice. Great vid! Helped me tons, thanks!

  • This is the best snowboard front flip video i ever watched but im still kinda scared to try it how can i make so im learning it slow but still comitting to do it some tips?

  • So how would i do this off of a larger jump? All thats in your vid are a bunch of little lips so would you still do the same motion?

  • nice vid!

    it really helps

    thanks

  • Okay, so I have been throwing front flips everywhere, off anything I can find and I can't land any of them. I am popping off my nose as hard as I can and then tucking, then landing on my butt. I don't get it! What am I doing wrong!?

  • when the tip of your board goes into the snow do you push off the snow to flip?

  • For that trick you dont so much land as accidentally crash on your feet.

  • How you Do The Slow Motion ? please tell me how

  • Should this b my first kind of flip???

  • Broke my collar bone trying this. Out for 12-15 weeks.

  • @Zebrasrfly Hey I'm sorry to hear that. Snowboarding can be dangerous and anytime we try new tricks, there's always the chance of getting hurt. 12-15 weeks though, wow you must have broke it bad. Usually when people screw up the tamedog they land on their back, I'm surprised to hear that you broke you're collar bone. Again, sorry to hear about your collar bone and I wish you a swift and complete recovery.

  • @HighFiveCamp Do you think that that guy broke his collar bone because he didn't tuck when he tried it?

  • @Zebrasrfly i can do thsi but a peice of advice practice into a big spot of powder till u get it down then take it to the hill landed a few today into some powder :P

  • @Zebrasrfly good story to tell the ladies at the bar! ahah not many people ahve the guts to bust invert tricks!

  • @Zebrasrfly did you not commit to the flip?

  • @Zebrasrfly Sorry to here that bro, but I think the problem might of been that you didn't tuck your chin in and your neck was probably extended.

  • @Zebrasrfly Not what I want to hear!! Wanted to try this trick, any tips??

  • @Zebrasrfly My friend just broke his yesterday trying to do this

  • @Zebrasrfly i'd try that with a powder landing fist

  • okay, i do side flips to the right, but i ride regular, can you help me? please?

  • @VERYameture It probably means you're not popping over your nose and instead you're going off you're toe edge. Focus on going straight over your nose.

  • Such an awesome trick to know

  • i'm really scared of landing on my neck. is it easy to land on your neck?

  • @nerdherdchen Well anytime you try a flip there's the risk of landing on your head. Be sure to commit and that should get the rotation around. It's when you're too scared to commit, that's when things go wrong.

  • @nerdherdchen you are not alone lol

  • @nerdherdchen when you tuck it kind of keeps your head in so not really.

  • Nollie frontflips (tamedogs) are whats up. I alredy do them, i just wanted to check out the vid. Nice job.

  • @snobrd4Llfe Thanks

  • this looks sooo Awesome! I'll try it next time i snowboard!! no matter what it takes i'll learn this trick ))

  • What's the optimal size of board for a person that's 5'6? They plan on spending most their time in the park.

  • nice k2

  • i've been trying this for a few weeks now. every time i am trying this my rotation falls short by a little bit and end up landing on my shoulder or back. i am pretty sure i have enough height and speed for tamedogs but i am just not spinning fast enough. should i practice to nollie harder?

  • One person skii's.

  • Thanks!

  • lucky number 27, 000 :)

  • Where should i try this for my first time?

  • does it matter how much your board can flex?

  • haha, landed it the first time! just do it

  • I have a travis rice 2011 board is 152 cm and i am 6'2 and i dont want to break my board.

Do you think my board will be able to take a fail attempt

  • @madcowmenton That's a good question. That's a pretty small board for a guy of your height. It all depends on how your board comes around. Some people do end up smashing their tails into the ground and some people don't. I would think if you try it into nice and deep powder you should be fine. But I would be very careful trying it when conditions are harder. Good luck if you try it and be sure to commit and tuck.

  • @HighFiveCamp yeah ive got a similar problem, 6"2 with a pretty stiff LTD 163... not sure if it has the flex... is a flexible board a neccessity?

  • @HighFiveCamp Thanls, well i can do a side flip of the side of a pool so i should be able to do it on a snowboard. Now i just need to want to get some snow -.- When we do i will video response my first attempt!

  • @madcowmenton depends on how much you weigh, to be honest, I doubt it will break - boards are made of wood laminated with compressed fiberglass. The worst you will do is bust up your tail edge a bit.

  • I must master this Trickk!!!!! but when i watch other people try it on youtube they all break there boards :o i dont want dooo thatt

  • @madcowmenton What board you riding? Nitro adds kevlar reinforcements to their boards where most boards usually crack from this trick. I have cracked a deck from this trick before, but my Nitro Rook held up fine last year. You should look into that. Never Summers are also indestructible!

  • Do you have to be going very fast ? and would it be easier to try it off a jump?

  • @Createzmusic Yes I am. Oh the good ol days of Crapneto.

  • i have that exact same board! nice!

  • thing is my board is not so flexy

  • @legitOGfutures Haha, yup my board flexes like crazy when I do that trick.

  • being under 5 foot has an advantage .... u can spin faster . Thanks for the help

  • lol wtf is a tamdog? haha but i lurned FRONT FLIPS last season and ya i agree tht the hardest part is the tuck but wht i do whn i do these is i scream my list of the parts of the trick while i am doin it it helps calm u down in the air and its just plane fun lol this is my list....THROW , POP, TUCK , DONNT BREAK NECK!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha

  • @purpleturtle69k Hahaha, I love the don't break neck part.

  • i just subed you cuz your vids deec

  • @MrKolerful Thanks for the sub

  • does it hurt when u fall

  • @reyle200 No, it feels like megan fox gives you an BJ ?

  • Svara på det här videoklippet... No it feels like megan fox gives you an BJ ???

  • @reyle200 It probably hurts me as much as it would anyone else when I fall.

  • i have heard quite a few people have snapped the tail on their board, is this something i should worry about?

  • @03886974927695785684 if you commit to the trick it wont happen. The tail snapping is a result of landing to far back putting to much weight and momentum on it causing it to snap.

  • @03886974927695785684 my friend cracked his tail learning these but if you do them on a more powdery day you should be fine.

  • @03886974927695785684 Um.... yes that is something to worry about. When you don't get the spin around your tail takes all the impact. Just pop really hard!

  • how would u recomend how to learn it at first?

  • @BNDLongboards I would recommend learning it off of a cat track into pow.

  • hey what kinda jump would you recommend for trying this trick for the first time

  • @Quadracer484 when my friend learned them he did it the best off something that sloped up alittle at first then went right down to flat (like a speed tabletop(to the middle of it)) were he did them the best tho was off a berm that was made by one of the chairlifts cus it droped down about 3 feet after

  • @Quadracer484 I would recommend learning it off of a cat track into pow.

  • does it hurt falling bad?

  • @ICYSkaterz Um.... is there such thing as falling good? But yes, falling bad hurts.

  • woow

    best fornt flip totorial ever

  • @Quadracer484 Thank you..... Best comment ever!

  • Do u need any kind of board flex

  • @skaterdude229 The board flexes like crazy because your entire weight is on the nose. I think any kind of board, besides a racing board can do this.

  • cartwheel w/o hands is an aerial :))

  • @itspoisoned11 I don't understand this comment.

  • it looks so easy when he does it.. despite that i ended up falling on my face when i tried it last winter..

  • @xWombatman08 How did your face feel?

  • That looks like so much fun can't wate to try it! Oh and how long did it take for u to learn it?

  • @XsnowboarderX15 It's one of those tricks where some lucky people figure it out the first day. I was one of those lucky people. But I have a friend who's been working on them for like 5 years and he's finally starting to do them right.

  • @HighFiveCamp Well put. I was landing them second day I tried them (3 years ago), but still have trouble with them sometimes. They're sketchy though @XsnowboarderX15 like they said in the video you kinda have to just guess your landing. In my opinion that is the most difficult part because it's easy to guess wrong haha. I have experienced many bruises on my left hip! (I ride goofy)

  • Wildcats and Tame Dogs look sooo fun but I can guarantee you they are probably super hard. 4 months until I find out! ^.^

  • @uhohavirus Good luck in 4 months. Let us know how it goes

  • @uhohavirus They're super hard for some people and super easy for others. You don't know until you try.

  • @HighFiveCamp

Just tried it yesterday and i totally ate it =P any tips for popping? that was my biggest problem because i never got enough height off the knuckle to fully flip

  • @uhohavirus Something shorter than your normally ride. Don't go by the "between your nose and your chin" rule, that's just a loose guildline for people who have never snowboarded before. I wouldn't be surprised to see a kid your size on a 151 or smaller in the park.

  • @daviduffy

    I ride a 152

  • it looks so easy when he is doing it..

  • @Awackkid hahaha, thanks. It's one of those tricks that when you learn it it becomes easy.

  • landed it first time found it easier to go into a 5-0 then nollie hard on my nose, 3rd trie i over spun to face plant cus i did it haha

  • double tame dog?????

  • @piglet4457 I've done them, but it's not something we want to make a trick tip about. All that's involved is finding a way bigger jump and flipping twice as fast.

  • @HighFiveCamp hahah i was joking but that makes sense thanks for replying :)

  • i landed this trick on the second time i tried it, i fckin love it!!!

  • would you say that you need a little more speed than a straight air for this trick to work?

  • @sunshinevancouver

Not at all. My doing the nollie you end up popping high and far.

Just make sure you pop up off the nose instead of down into the ground.

  • @HighFiveCamp

thanks for the reply! will practice as soon as my sprained ankle heals from popping down into the ground instead of up off the nose!

  • Love this trick. It is the one trick I really wish I could do. You make it look easy.

  • i want to do this but my board isnt very flexible :( i dont think it would work

  • @wsagoalie3 You can still do this trick with a stiff board, it should work the same. Good luck

  • okay i tried one today and i was flipping over and everything but it was like a barrel roll...i was landing like in a heel side stop position then falling...i can't seem to get the tamedog aspect...can u help me?

  • @Dashizal99 I think the key is to not fold at the waist. It's not really a frontflip, instead it's a handless cartwheel. It sounds to me like you're going forward over your toe edge instead of rolling over your nose and keeping your hips tight. Good luck

  • wow, 3 things i must say:

    1) fucking epic tutorial

    2) subscribed and faved

    3) i got the same board :) <3 you guys

  • @ITSANAZNOMG Thanks, we are working on a few new tutorials and they should hopefully be up soon. They're a lot of work and take so much time.

  • i love your videos! so much better than all the other videos i've seen

  • @kh3m1c4l Thank you

  • Is this an advanced trick? I can do 180, flatlands, nearly 360.

  • @Olaipai Yes this is an advanced trick, but not an expert trick. If you do decide to try it, I would suggest trying it off a cattrack into a powder landing.

  • @HighFiveCamp Thanks for the advice. I stomped it earlier in the winter tough ;)

  • @Olaipai That's great to hear. Sorry for the slow response, we're a new company and still figuring out this stuff. The responses won't be so delayed in the future.

  • @HighFiveCamp That's no problem! Good luck with the company. :)

  • I tried on today. Everyone stopped to watch and I bailed so hard. Still feel like a champ though

  • @636snowboarder Stoked to hear you tried it. Let us know when you land one.

  • @636snowboarder Stoked to hear you tried it. Let us know when you land one.

  • @636snowboarder Nice man! better luck next time.

  • yepp, best on youtube :D

  • Thumbs up for amazing slo-motion???

  • @amacattackable Thumbs up for you watching and commenting.

  • How much does this camp cost for a 13 year old

  • @drewykinz We are running summer camps this year starting Jun 26th for one week in Whistler. The price is $1995.

  • the K2 parkstar is where its at!

  • Thanks for the tutorial. I just landed my first front flip at Kirkwood today after about 4 trys! Landed on my feet and rode away.

  • @deepakhj That's awesome! Good job.

  • Thanks for the tutorial, landed one my second try.

  • @TheIndyColts That's great to hear. Thank you

  • hey when i do a sideflip/frontflip thingy just on the ground without a snowboard i find it easier to push off with my right foot and Im regular....do you think it would be easier to learn to do this going switch or trying to learn how to do the rotation the other way

  • @Sharkis011 It depends on how comfortable you are riding switch. I've learned the trick switch but it's much more difficult for me. Generally most people get more pop and control riding regular so I would suggest learning it the other way without a board and then do the tamedog regular. That being said, if you're comfortable doing it switch, by all means, give er a go!

  • Hey könnt ihr mir helfen ihn zu stehen gebt ,, chackerify frontflip " ein und schreibt mir was ihr wisst thx

  • Broke my 1 month old Rome artifact rocker doing this trick now gunna go break it even more

  • @MRFLINTSTONErufc Ya, unfortunately that trick is hard on board if you don't get the rotation around. Sorry to hear about your board

  • THE SLOW MO IS SOOO DIRTTYYYY XD

  • @JollyStomp Thank you. We're stoked on em too.

  • Subscribed... Now gimme more! ^^

  • @5Himerus We are working on 3 other tutorials, but they're so much work and we're two very busy snowboarders, it's hard to finish them. But don't worry, we have more coming.

  • is it common to break your board doin this.. thats the only thing im worried about

  • @codyluhman1 it's not common, but it does happen, like any difficult trick. The key is to get the rotation around. Good luck.
