  • I'm glad the Reggie Ball years are over.

  • Well, Tech did win 2 of their last 4 games this year to make a bowl, and beat Syracuse 51-14 in the bowl to go 7-5. Still cant believe how under-utilized Calvin Johnson was though.

  • So what if it was a fumble they didnt call it. besides that was still a great play by Minor.

  • Virginina Tech won by luck at the end. That was the call that might have saved the game for G.A. Tech

  • Yeah every time we kill yall its luck. Yall won two years ago but thats the last time for a while.

  • I agree that they missed that call.. I don't know if it necessarily cost Georgia Tech the game, since they would have had the ball at the 20... but it would have kept it interesting.

  • Should Not have Counted. Fumble at the end. The refs didn't see that. That cost Tech the game. I was at that game.

  • sorta forgot how obvious a fumble that was there at the end....oh well, we still kicked ass! Go Hokies!!!

  • Yeah, in today's world of instant replay, that would have been overturned. Wonder if that might have changed things, since it would have been GT ball on a touchback.

  • Ah, you're letting the bees get to you. Given the way Reggie was playing, he just would have thrown another pick. They got off a couple decent passes but there was just not enough time to tie it up.

Now, if we had only been up by three, THAT would have been interesting.

  • At the time of the play, it appeared to me that VT gave up on the recovery because it was already called a touchdown. Had the play continued, VT would have recovered--hokie touchdown, NOT a touchback.

  • But had it been reviewed and actually watched the play, it would have been ruled a fumble and thus would be a touchback.

  • In my view it would have been more a travesty had it been reviewed and called a touchback, because the only reason Hokies didn't fall on it was the bad call in the first place: instead of the refs handing the game to the Hokies, the refs may have handed the game to the Jackets.
