Wow I see that even with a 2 bottom plow it wanted to spin some in spots. I coulda sailed through there in 3rd gear with a 3 bottom plow on my Allis-Chalmers WD45 like a walk in the park. How much is that tracotor supposed to weigh?
Well, what about the 2010 MF 2605, 38hp, 30 PTO, weight 4,100 lbs 2WD... I would assume it does, I see a lot of MF 35's, and MF135's pulling a two bottom plow, they seem to do alright, my understanding is the MF2605 is basically it's equivalent (Spec wise) todate, except the 2605 weighs a little more.. thanks for the video, helpful for those of us in need
perfect pacing and presentation. dunno if you're only doing vids for EverythingAttachment, but you should consider branching out to other fields/subjects if you haven't yet. the work in this vid blows away at least 90% of "professional" ENG/demo vids. natural, clear voice that keeps the topic moving and doesn't sound phony. great work from all involved.
Not being a smarty(life long farmer) but your colter should cut 1 inch more than the plow itself. That way it leaves a nice clean edge on each furrow.
@EverythingAttachment Ted I have a 32 horse 4whd kubota. I am using a 14 inch one bottom. I would like to sell the plow and use a 12 inch two bottom. Do I have enough tractor to do that?
@EverythingAttachment Thanks Ted. I have a two acre truck patch. I have so much food I give most of it away. I keep doing it because I love the smell of freshly plowed ground! And, freshly shelled butter beans with bacon ain't bad.
Im thirteen, and live on a small farm. My brother hates it,(he seems like more of a city folk) but I love it. Im tryin to make my mom a pumpkin patch, and we have a 3930. Do you think it big enough(it has r1 tires)
Good for you! If you are talking about a Ford 3930, then it will work with this plow just fine. That tractor has a lot of weight (5000 lbs) and that is important when pulling a two bottom plow. One day you can mail a pumpkin to your brother in the city!
We feature the Leinbach Line of Plows. Thanks for the kind comments. We should have about 10 more videos in our Gardening Series by the end of next week.

To keep our tractors from spinning, I usually add calcium to our tractors tires, it adds substantial weight

there is a way to make it so you dont need to plough with the tractor in the furrow you just set the plough up for it

How much does this tractor weigh, is this the MX5100 ?
MrShannon888 1 year ago
@MrShannon888 It has to be. If not it has to be the equivalent just an older model.

you need sway chains on the 3 point hith to keep the plow inline with your right wheel so it doesn't leave any unplowed dirt between passes

tyou said that tractors would strugle with that plow.. It would not struggle in the least with it.

Thanks for the good advice, I will try that out next time I plow and see if it works any better.

@1rleger The weight of your tractor could be a problem although you have enough horsepower. I would recommend staying with a single bottom plow
