Red has never lost a battle, had legit legendaries (even Mewtwo for a bit),. probably fucked Misty (who has tits and ass in manga), beat the Elite Four + Green (or Blue, or Gary's manga version), and looks like a BAMF.

Ash loses some battles, took him till Sinnoh to evolve his Cyndaquil, has a Lv. 9884213249876461e Pikachu who gets knocked out by a Snivy, and I'm starting to think he might be gay.

There are NO similarities besides the Pokemon the two carry. STFU.

The only thing they kill for every theme is saying what they are premiering in each song in the middle of their song. Almost the same as the Pokemon saying their names to speak. You don't hear any band say the name of their band or what they are premiering for except for digimon, bakugan, and bay blade. But they are on the same boat anyway being a kid's show. But you don't hear any sonic music doing that. It just to me makes all these themes fail miserably.

Ah...they're based on the Japanese names:

Kasumi means Mist (something along those lines) so the English equivalence was Misty

Haruka means distant...or something...I have no idea where May came from though.

Arisu...Well yeah, they kept the name Iris.

And Hikaru means light, so the name equivalence to that as well as lip syncing with the dub, they used the name Dawn.

Ah...I hope that was easy to understand. Also, to answer your question, the girl in the picture is May.

To the show becoming about following your heart and friendship. Even in the opening it says it doesn't matter about winning or losing, but the friends you carry. This kills the pokemon experience so many people grew up with. Furthermore Ash becomes a dopey trainer, amnesia every season, and loses all battle skills. RIP pokemon :(

There not good but not terrible, and when you watch Jhoto Hoenn and Kanto you can see why. They actually switched writers mid way hoenn when Ash was in the battle frontier. Everything after that has been bad :P

After the dub switch and new writers thats the whole series been focusing on. No humor, no actual good dialouge. I grew up watching the first episode, and if you were an actual fan you would agree. But your probably one of those kids who only started watching once Sinnoh came out.

@luckycandy101 Furthermore, the Best Wishes series actually brought much improvement to the show, including Team Rocket actually being a threat for once, a beautiful opening theme song, and genuinely interesting plot hooks. Now granted, there are some things I don't like about it, such as Bianca, but everything has its ups and downs and Pokemon is no different. The fifth gen games also brought me great joy, as they were fresh with deep characters and a plot that made me think.
