1 People talking slowly to me because they think if there's something wrong with my body then there must be something wrong with my mind.
2 People grabbing my property and touching me or talking really loud and telling everyone to watch out or step back because there's a disabled person and thinking they are helping. Unauthorized help is like unsolicited advice; nobody wants it! If you think someone needs help, ask them if they want or need it.
I once had a girlfriend who had mental problems. She had been lying to me for a while and I was too stupid to notice. She had been flirting with some guy with autism, he was a really arrogant douchebag, and one day I noticed. I broke up with her and got in a fucking shitload of trouble. This was in 11th. grade. I was blamed for several things because of that bitch and her friends! The teachers at my fucked up school were so sympithetical to them, that they could do whatever they wanted to.

I was reading an article about a guy with a heriditary disease and wanted to have kids with his girlfriend. And they were considering IVF with PGD screening. Soon as that happens the disabled groups butted in, with the oh we understand then turning around saying your stereotyping disabled people rant. Same thing about that kid who was deaf and got a cochlear implant, Deaf groups went off on one over that one too. There are disabled people, that are inspiring with some of the stuff they do.
Yeah, I don't think we're doing anyone any favors by trying not to get mad at people with disabilities. If anything I think it would be an insult, saying that they're weaker than we are. I say if someone's annoying, go ahead and get annoyed.

I get angry when I see people who are not disabled use the motorized carts at our local supermarkets. It's even worse at Walmart, where most times you can't find an open handicap spots. Typically it's Obese people or individuals with respiratory illnesses due to smoking.
Sometimes it's amusing, but most times it just plain sad.
My personal peeve is morbidly obese people who get preferred parking stickers. Sure, they have serious health problems now, but if they'd done a bit more walking to start with, they wouldn't have to cruise around WalMart on the scooter with an oxygen tank.

Youve started a really interesting dialogue. People are being outspoken and honest and not tiptoing around in a patronizing way.
Most people mean well but dont know what to do. If you ask a disabled person if they need any help they will very likely appreciate the offer and the respect for their competance and let you know. We know what we can and cant do. Noone likes being talked down to and treated like they cant do things for themselves. Never assume soneones brain is disabled too.

Disability awareness is great. I'm being sarcastic I'm in a wheelchair and this video is fucking funny. I try very hard not to run people over most the time though,unless somebody else walks in front of me and i can't stop quick enough. I'm not angry bout being in a wheelchair. I'm not paralyzed so i have feeling in my legs so i dont want to run into people with my wheelchair and possibly hurt my legs.

My personal peeve is morbidly obese people who get preferred parking stickers. Sure, they have serious health problems now, but if they'd done a bit more walking to start with, they wouldn't have to cruise around WalMart on the scooter with an oxygen tank.

Youve started a really interesting dialogue. People are being outspoken and honest and not tiptoing around in a patronizing way.
Most people mean well but dont know what to do. If you ask a disabled person if they need any help they will very likely appreciate the offer and the respect for their competance and let you know. We know what we can and cant do. Noone likes being talked down to and treated like they cant do things for themselves. Never assume soneones brain is disabled too.

I'm disabled. You can see on my videos...short hair. If a person with a disability is mean, be mean but not evil. I have issues yelling so I don't yell much but one time I said exscuse me and the person didn't move so I said it again a little louder. The grown man leaned into my face and screamed, "wait a minute retard." People should treat disabled people like humans "because we are." Just don't tease us because our lives suck no matter how happy we seem and that's a fact. (:

most people treat us nicely! Only a few people are jackasses like that. Trust me. Most people help me out or are nice. I know there are very few who are jerks. If they are a jerk, i just ignore them. Some woman yelled at me for my wheelchair having diffuculties crossing the road. Its fixed now. The woman blew her horn rolled down her window and called me an asshole. Happened only once, never again. What was funny is that she ran into the back of a city bus afterwards. I was laughing. =D

Thats a shame. I don't like people feeling sorry for me though. I hate when people feel bad and treat me like a victim. People are retards still though. Its true though that disabled girls are a target of that shit. I know many girls that are disabled. School is different than public though. Kids at school think im just being lazy, someone tried to push me out of wheelchair once, i ran him over, end of story. How are u doing? Just asking. Disability awareness is great. I'm being sarcastic I'm in a wheelchair and this video is fucking funny. I try very hard not to run people over most the time though,unless somebody else walks in front of me and i can't stop quick enough. I'm not angry bout being in a wheelchair. I'm not paralyzed so i have feeling in my legs so i dont want to run into people with my wheelchair and possibly hurt my legs.
