Belissimo coral, belissimas vozes, apesaar de nao entender o idioma, acredito que estão louvando ao DEUS poderoso, pois não seria possivel adorar qualquer outro deus que não ao nosso DEUS poderoso. Parabens,
Spectacular. After listening to this performance, I think many of those that gained fame putting Bach's cantatas on the world scene, realize that we all slowly loosing true sense of how it used to be - so accurate, tuned, alive and yet under perfect order and clearest articulation - and Harnoncourt has reminded us. Don't punch Germans for doing what everybody else must be intended to do. It is not perfectionism; this performance is simply celebration of harmony, it's image of ...
I have been looking really hard for this video. This is the best Harnoncourt is the best.. I sang this piece when I was a young boy in our Church choir
No, my sentence is the Warheid. By the way , Harnoncourt ist gar kein Ästräicher, sondern Daitscher - Piefke, sozusagen. OKOK, the Germans are not only good in Marching Music, but they have no humor !
I remember landing in Frankfurt (there was a bomb threat on our plane), and the police were telling me that they hoped that the situation did not ruin my opinion of Germany overall. I guess I respect how seriously many Germans seem to take their jobs (at least while performing them).
MarkusDMeier ! It'll be better if you remove your comments... SPECIALLY from this page ! CHRIST and PEACE are same values ! And J.S. BACH's ALL MASTERPIECES are from GOD ! And about GOD ! even WTC . no words but all about it... ! : p.s. I am NOT German !
Why is everyone so much more animated and exciting than the Germans? Does that mean that the original Bach was boring? Harnoncourt grew up in Austria, and then there are Herreweghe, and the unsurpassed English conductors (Gardiner, McCreesh)-- everyone simply does a better job performing Bach than the Germans (Mr Boring Rilling etc)

The Germans are good in marching music, because they are militaristic, all the others are good in good music, peaceful etc.

I regret you just seem to know Rilling as a German conductor of works of Bach.
I even don´t like his interpretations, but he is also responsible for a Bach revival after the Second World War.
Just try to get records of other brilliant conductors or to hear a concert in Germany...

Germans are the best. It takes a German to play/perform German music as it should be played/performed.

That's another crass generalisation.

Spannonian, that's the most simplistic statement I've ever heard

why waste your time responding, if it is so simplistic?

because I hope you'll reflect more throughly on your statements before putting them out there!?
