To settle the argument: Boeings are much more quiet and comfterble, airbuses are much safer and they dont break down as much as boeings do. (That just came from a boeing fan)

@Corvette35000 cant agree on fact that Boeings= are quieter and more comfortable. A330 and A380 are recognised as the quietest planes. i have flown on every thing from B727 up to 777-200/300 and 747-400, and A319-100 up to A380-800 and AIRBUS ARE MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE there fusalage is that much wider giving more cabin space. love both Boeing and Airbus.

@jamesgreen456 well, 787 I THINK. is the most quietest plane now. but Im not sure...but for me, every 747 to the 767 is more comfortable than the airbus, but the 777 is the worst. the luggage holders really pissed me off. bad job boeing lol

@Corvette35000 747-400 are good agreed, 777 yuk dont like this plane at all. if you ever have the chance to fly in a A330, would like to think you will find it a very nice plane 380 is stunning flying on a TUI 787 next year looking forward to that.

@jamesgreen456 I know! the 777 rattled like crazy. everything was sticky, and 2 of the luggage holders popped open 6 times during the 12 hour flight. we had 3 babies, and the TV kept flickering. there was lots of turbulance, and the 777 felt more like a sputtering biplane on steriods that was failing to fly.

The 330 is definitely the most beautiful plane there is. It looks so elegant. The 340 is too but it's kinda a little too long. But having 4 engines is what adds to its attractiveness . The MD-11 is second although sometimes I find it just as beautiful as the 330/340.

But what's up with the timing ? The 330 is on the runway for 3 minutes and then it takes off only second before the MD lands!!

why the hell did the looftbus take off at the same time as another aircraft landed on the parallell runway? If that other aircraft had to abort the two aircraft would be dangerously close to each other. Or did the airbus get the clearence once the other aircraft was down on the runway?

@cakemorten does it really matter if they are close? All they have to do to avoid is maintain runway heading and I've seen on youtube one video of 2 planes landings at the same on parallel runways.

@cakemorten It is not like that. Parallel-Runway operations are authorized. If the other aircraft had had to go around, then the missed-approach procedure published for the runway where he was landing would have put him at a safe distance away from the departing aircraft on the adjacent RWY.

@cakemorten if a goaround would occur for the other airplane it would just continue rwy heading and then probably bank right away from the lufthansa wich is far longer ahead of the other aircraft ;)
