warning..if gamer shouldnt buy this laptop because of the low gpu performance, it cannot handle games in ultra or high if they are demanding..it uses a gt 230m

I have a hp dv4 that looks the exact same except with out the number keypad. I've had nothing but problems with this computer. I've had it sent back to California to be repaired twice and it still doesn't work properly... My mother also owned a hp laptop and the screen went out after only 3 years. I don't remember how much but it was VERY expensive to repair. I do not recommend buying this brand at all.

this laptop is able to run crysis on medium no problems, and even on HIGH, just a slight FRamerate drop, but it is not bad at all and is still very playable

@ChrisChilled I've been looking around for a decent 18.4" laptop with an i7. some match up but then the screen resolution is weird or no Bluray.

The DV8 checks all the boxes and its the one I want, but I have read some bad reviews about HP reliability and screen pixel damage. Can you tell me how your DV8 is doing how long have you had it etc?
