well, it does have the worlds largest military(2,500,000 compared to USA only has 1,300,000) plus if WWIII came out, the chinese military could conscript 350,000,000 people to become soldiers.(that means for 1 US soldier, there would be 15,200 chinese soldiers to fight him, or 3,000 tanks or 5 battle ships or 7500 fighter aircraft), so don't underestimate them, as they are the 3rd largest superpower in the world

Only the U.S. can project its military anywhere. If WWIII did begin, our nuclear arsenal is decades ahead of China's. We also have minimal respect for their delivery systems. I disagree. Neither Iraq or Afganistan are conventional wars, i.e. two significant forces where both forces are well identified. Guerilla wars have always historically been difficult for the much larger conventional army, from the American revolution, to the French and Algerians, nothing much has changed. The U.S. forces in Iraq destroyed the Iraqi army in days. DAYS. Kuwait? Even shorter, hours. But then the guerilla war starts. The same would happen for China. War is passé.

With the US if Taliban forces took positions in a hospital or pre-school. We'd have to either leave it alone or do a costly sweep of the building perhaps loosing several soldiers in the process.

Excellent point. I have friends in intelligence here in D.C. and the consensus is that the Chinese are happy to allow the U.S. to "run the world" for the next few decades. Don't forget, China still has around 800 million horribly poor peasants that it is going to try to absorb into the coastal cities. This will be very tough. The odds of political instability popping up are huge. The continued rise of China is not set in stone. BTW-Nice parade but really, how effective is their military?
