Pakistan Karachiites has made a world record for the most number of people singing a national anthem simultaneously as they gathered here on late Saturday.

5,885 people gathered at a Defence Stadium and beat the previous record of 5,248, achieved by Philippines on 1 September 2009.

Boys, Girls and children started gathering at Defence Stadium on August 13.The required number of people gathered at the spot and as the clock struck 12, everyone started singing the national anthem :)

so, first a pakistani filed a petition to get the indian record removed as vande mataram is not their national anthem and then made the record. All in a matter of days. That atleast proves we are comical geniuses :D This makes me appreciates all of us Pakistanis more than the record itself :D

The over 100k people record was by India singing Vand-e-Mataram and it was wrongly published in the Guinness Book of World Records as Vand-e-Mataram is not India's National Anthem.

Now that record has been erased from the book, so we needed to break the next best record which was from Phillipines, and it was of about 5250 people. So you see, we did it :)
