Needless to say, we never, ever, take our Mal to the dog park anymore and let him 'play' with only dogs he knew as a puppy. We love our Mal, but had no idea of the power, strength and pray drive. He is now 2 yrs old.

In the video you are refering to these two malemutes are not fighting, they are playing, If you are afraid that your malemute is aggressive then TRAIN HIM training is so important to controling your animals, and keep him on a leash. You are the Alpha not your dog,

coyote's arent dogs any more than a wolf is a dog. coyotes are wild animals. some people hunt them because they live in inhabited areas and the coyotes pose a threat to domestic animals and kids.

Mals beside pulling sleds were also used as hunting dogs and thats why they have great prey drive and genneraly dont like other animals,and they will chase anything that moves(cats,mices,birds...) and can be agressive with other same sex dogs.Simply the best dog in the world!
Your book is wrong, by the way. Countless historians have disproved this fact. The most likely origin of the name is 'Bierboxer', taken from a group of dogs of that name in Germany around the time the Boxer breed was first developed. To be honest, I think you just made that up.
My dog is a German Sheperd/Lab cross and he uses his legs to fight (this vid is NOT a fight). In the past he's taken Rottweilers, Boxers, Bullmastiffs, a Dobermann and even a trained police Sheperd. It took us two years to train him out of attacking other dogs, he's almost perfect now.
Having a 'tough dog' that will kill anything that comes near it or it's owner is not a fun experience and quickly got me a bad reputation in the area.
